Ghana Telecom Launches New Logo

The Ghana Telecom Company which was formerly Ghana Posts and Telecommunications Corporation has launched a new Logo to reflect its new status. Our Staff Reporter, James Amoak says the Logo has two main colours-blue and gold in the background with the imposing letters GT as the acronym of the company. The logo which is the traditional trade mark of the International Telecom Industry also symbolizes the sky through which the industry is moving towards globalisation. The colour gold symbolises the richness of the telecommunications industry and the sense of togetherness or belonging which it fosters among nations. The national flag has the colour gold in the middle. The Ghana Posts and Telecommunications Corporation was divested of governmental control in 1996. Two twin companies - Ghana Post and Ghana Telecom were born from the womb of the divested corporation to enhance their efficiency. The Managing Director of Ghana Telecom Mr.. Adnan Rofiee said the company's operations will be dictated by the needs of its customers. Its prime concern is total customer satisfaction.
