Ghanaians may not realize the far reaching affects this behaviour has on foreign investors. A similar case happened under the NPP with Ghana Airways when the US embassy got involved. Businesses interested in investing in Ghana heard about it within 24 hours.

The issue is not that the police/BNI raided a company. It happens EVERY DAY in the West. However, there is appropriate protocol. Security services need to go before a judge and request for the place to be searched. The people/business being searched are informed in writing, at point of search, what the security agencies can or cannot do.

This is a dangerous act that can damage Ghana's reputation.

We are told,still,victims of the collapsed MELCON BUILDING,last year,have not been paid what they are due.
That's not fair.
IT COULD BE,THE BNI WOULD LIKE TO INVESTIGATE SOMETHING ON THAT.

SEE HOW OKO VANDERPUIJE IS BEHAVING-THE SO CALLED MAYOR OF ACCRA IS JUST PULLING DOWN BUILDINGS IN ACCRA WITH THE EXCUSE THAT THEY HAVE NO BUILDING PERMITS, YES, THEY DO NOT HAVE BUILDING PERMITS BUT WHY DONT THEY HAVE BUILDING PERMITS?

I WAS WATCHING ONE OF THESE INTERNET CHANNELS IN THE US THAT BEAM TV STATIONS IN GHANA WITH MY AMERICAN FRIENDS WHO HAD EXPRESSED INTEREST IN INVESTING IN GHANA, IN FACT THEY WATCH THIS TV STATION AND OTHERS JUST TO FOLLOW DEVELOPMENTS IN GHANA. THEN COMES THIS NEWS ITEM THAT OKO VANDERPUIJE HAS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS THAT BUILDINGS IN ACHIMOTA WITHOUT PERMITS SHOULD BE DEMOLISHED WITHIN 48HOURS. MY AMERICAN FRIENDS JUST LIKE MOST POTENTIAL INVESTORS WERE SHOCKED, SO THEY DECIDED TO GOOGLE OKO VANDER4PUIJE AND THE AMA AND INFACT ALL THE STORIES ABOUT OKO VANDERPUIJE AND THE AMA WAS ABOUT THE DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS, PULLING DOWN OF POOR COMMUNITIES AND MALTREATMENT OF MARKET WOMEN. MY FRIENDS WERE SHOCKED, THEN THEY PROCEEDED TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE EXPERIENCES OF GHANAIANS WHO TRIED OBTAINING BUILDING PERMITS FOR THEIR BUILDING PROJECTS IN GHANA. INFACT WE REALISED THAT IT WAS EASY FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE THAN FOR A GHANAIAN TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT IN GHANA, SO WHY CANT THE MAHAMA GOVERNMENT FIX THE PROBLEM WITH THE ACQUISITION OF BUILDING PERMITS SO THAT IT WILL BE EASIER FOR GHANAIANS AND FOREIGN INVESTORS TO BUILD HOMES AND OTHER FACILITIES IN GHANA BEFORE EMBARKING ON SUCH DEMOLITIONS.

IN THESE HARDTIMES,WHICH HUMAN BEING WILL EVER FORGIVE MAHAMA AND OKO VANDERPUIJE IF THEIR BUILDINGS ARE PULLED DOWN BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT GO THE HELLISH EXPERIENCE OF ACQUIRING A BUILDING PERMIT. THE REASONS AND ACTIONS OF OKO VANDERPUIJE IN DEMOLISHING BUILDINGS IN GHANA ARE JUST PATHETIC AND IS SYMPLY BARBARIC AND CRIMINAL AND UNHEARD OF IN ANY CIVILISED COUNTRY. FOR MY AMERICAN FRIENDS WHO WERE EAGER TO BUILD HOSPITALS IN GHANA THERE IS NO WAY THAT THEY WILL EVER DREAM OF INVESTING IN GHANA LEST IT TAKES THEM OVER TEN YEARS GO COME, GO COME, BRING THIS AND THAT AND PALM GREASING AND YET THEY WILL NEVER SEE THE SO CALLED BUILDING PERMIT. GHANA UNDER MAHAMA IS A DISGRACE. GET OKO VANDERPUIJE OUT. EVERYBODY IS COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS MAN AND HIS SENSELESS APPROACH TO WORK.
