As benign as this message may seem, the obscure intent could be very powerful. I see this so-called Nana's Easter Message to the Nation is part of the psychological nudging of the electorate to accept him as the bona fide Flagbearer of the NPP and the President-in-wait.

Just as the respondent with the pseudonym "Skains" implied, Nana's camp has assumed an exclusive role of preeminence in the NPP leadership. He seems to be telling us all that whether we like it or not, even without any elective process to appoint him, he claims to be the only entity to be regarded as fitting the Flagbearer role.

If that is not the case, he should quit projecting himself as a parallel Head of State deserving National ceremonious attention at every turn.

When Nana goes on vacation. The whole Nation has to know. When Nana returns, the whole Nation has to know and rush to welcome at the Airport. When Nana is deliberating whether or not to run for the Presidency, the whole Nation has to know before he eventually decides on what he intends doing. And now, an Easter Message to the whole Nation! Haba!!

I wish he had told us what Jesus and God told him on his visit to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, last year. After all, he made sure we all learnt about that trip, too, before he went. But he didn't share whatever message he got from the Almighty, probably sitting behind the Wall.

Anyway, we all have already been promised the Lord's love and grace. And it is our everyday interactions with the Lord and fellow Citizen that would determine how much of that love really flows around us. If we resort to intimidating others with the long-gone, ancient military prowess of our ancestors, hoping to derive any fear-inspired submission from them to allow us to rule them, we are not giving the guidance of the Lord the credit it deserves.

I can hardly see how Nana reconciles "Yen Akanfuor de..." rhetoric with this Easter rapprochement, or his visit to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Can anyone help us understand that?
