Today in Accra the largest religious building in the country will be the mosque being build on our national park at Nima donated by Turkey confirming the Islamic domination of Ghana. Tribalism mixed with chauvinism and despotism from the north has now equaled the hegemony of the ewes . A.C.C.R.A any criminal can roam about so we have them everywhere now . even at the scholarship secretariat hardly ever is an Akan awarded the privilege to go abroad and study now . The Akans are the majority but because most continue to sleep or blindly trust the other tribes these atrocities are taking place . We look at the political strategy of the NDC and see the typical Hannibal wench when he turned the strengths of the mighty Roman army against themselves as they are doing to the Akans . From the south they use part of the Fantis and from the North the Brongs , from behind we have the chariot onslaught of the Gas Ewes Krobos. Yes the political landscape reflects a war which is only meant to destroy the right of self governance of the God's chosen nation of Africa the Akan . For them its a big deal who leads the NPP but we really don't care as our movement grows stronger by the hour as more and more Akans wake up to reality of this dire situation . This is a true story. Last week was my 40th birthday and I really didn’t feel like waking up that morning. I managed to pull myself together and go downstairs for breakfast, hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, “Happy Birthday!”, and possibly have a small present for me. As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone “Happy Birthday.” I thought… Well, that’s marriage for you, but the kids… They will remember.

My kids came trampling down the stairs to breakfast, ate their breakfast, and didn’t say a word to me. So when I made it out of the house and started for work, I felt pretty dumpy and despondent.

As I walked into my office, my secretary Joanne said, “Good Morning Boss, and by the way Happy Birthday!” It felt a bit better knowing that at least someone remembered. I worked in a zombie like fashion until about one o’clock, when Joanne knocked on my door and said, “You know, it’s such a beautiful day outside, and it’s your Birthday, why don’t we go out for lunch, just you and me.” I said, “Thanks, Joanne, that’s the best thing I’ve heard all day. Let’s go!”

We went to lunch but not where we’d normally go. Instead she took me to a quiet bistro with a private table. We had a couple of mixed drinks and I enjoyed the meal tremendously. On the way back to the office, Joanne said, “You know, It’s such a beautiful day… We don’t have to go right back to the office, do we?” I replied with “I suppose not. What do you have in mind?” She said, “Let’s go to my apartment, it’s just around the corner.”

After arriving at her apartment, Joanne turned to me and said, “Boss if you don’t mind, I’m goinna to step into the bedroom for just a moment. I’ll be right back.” “Ok.” I nervously replied. She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake…

Followed by my wife, my kids, and dozens of my friends, and co-workers, all singing “Happy Birthday”.

And I just sat there…

The very first line contained a bullet or two: "There is nothing so painful like been betrayed ....when the need arise". There were many more throughout the piece, such as: "Well is for Nana Addo to decide ...."

The basic thing every national chairman does is to make sure everything goes well. Jake stupidly pin-point every polling station which didnt have NPP agent during the petition at the SC.
NPP cant keep waiting for mistakes to happen before finding solution.
It is Jake who betray Nana Addo and Bawumia by foolishly making them to put in a petition that should not have been if Jake did what we elected him to do. Jake thinks chairman means sitting on a chair. Jake didnt have the decency to ring all regional and district contituences to find out whether they had trained polling agents.
Jake is more interested in sleeping in his government house in accra than going round regions and districts in the country in the interest of NPP. National Chairman is not Accra chairman.

Come on Al-Haj. Jake should know he was losing the contest and should have thrown in the towel if he had the intelligence to assess himself.
Firstly, as Ghanaians and especially NPP has come to know him properly, his character and personality began to show and more light was shone on the hidden persona more than was previously known. For the youth his educational background, though not an all means to the end but educational qualifications and training play influential roles in our societies especially, when these are basic and fundamental to the social ladders.
You may say that Jake Okanta's father was a member of the UP ('ma te me ho') party who were involved in heinous acts in Ghana in those days and therefore should be hailed by all NPP but don't forget though it may sound 'United Party', in reality the UP was and still grossly a tribal group of people mainly of the Akan, but more so, Asante/Akyem party which find it very unacceptable for those from other tribes like Ewes, Northerners, GaDangmes etc be reciprocally assimilated into the party with fair and equitable opportunities in the party. Afrifa, Busia and Kufuor's regimes show this perception very clearly.
The events that followed post Kufuor and in particular, the property grabbing events by the NPP and co and Jake's bungalow and land issues showed the stench of the moral value of Jake and others who, were supposed to mentor and give leadership.
'The evil that men do lives after them' ( M. Anthony). also 'he who kills by the sword, dies by the sword'. Al-Haj, you need to research into the life of Jake in Liberia and how he was smuggled through to Ghana his motherland by the benevolent of people with compassion. People who could be strong opponents of the NPP, UP OR PP. But instead they put aside their political and tribal differences and as Ghanaians rally around to save and provide the necessary support, assistance for Jake's care and general welfare. How were all this people paid back by Jake? He rewarded them with denial, wickedness and blatant arrogance, disregard and disrespect. I am not saying that Jake must continue to thank these good Samaritans for the rest of his days but at least as Chenu Achebe in His Things Fall Apart puts it' those who had their nuts cracked for them must not forget the benevolence of those who cracked the nuts'. They must at lest show their gratitude to maintain cordiality reciprocate mutuality. Jake's experience is rather the beginning. I think that politically, he could be finished because he is not even comfortable with his Ga people. He does not fit into the culture so cannot represent them. He is, like the others e.g Prof Oquaye, Ayikoi Otoo and others have a very stiff political angle to manoeuvre in NPP. Please don't blame Nana Akufo Addo or anybody else for the verdict on Jaka Okanta Obetsebi-Lamptey.

Don't waste our time writing with the sole purpose of bringing people down to satisfy your political pay masters.
