  Samia is absolutely right. Africa, for that matter, Ghana is forever tied to the apron strings of these capitalists who have come in various forms, from the time of colonialism to dictate to us what they want and not what we need. For their profits, multi-national corporations continue to pollute the food chain with junk food.
  Let us resist them and their suggestible surrogates who are supposed to be our leaders ,with the fullest defiance under the direction of this knowledgeable daughter of Ghana; Samia Nkrumah.

  Kwame , nobody has put a gun at the head of Ghanaians to consume GM food. Besides, politicians should stay away from this issue; we should leave it to our scientists to tell us the dangers involved by eating genetically modified food. GM food is already being sold in markets all over Ghana. It is too late to politicize GMO.
  Samia should call on Ghanaians to patronize home-grown food. If you eat imported rice and Exeter corned beef, Kwame, I'm afraid you've eaten GM food.
  
  Rather, Samia should talk about the dangers we face from climate change.

  There's a reason GM foods are banned in Most of Europe. And as a fellow person living in the US, you can agree with me that there are also hungry people abroad. I suggest to educate people of GM foods and label GM foods so ...

  There's a reason GM foods are banned in Most of Europe. And as a fellow person living in the US, you can agree with me that there are also hungry people abroad. I suggest to educate people of GM foods and label GM foods so they that people are aware of what they are buying and consuming. Ghana's healthcare system cannot cope with the dangers of these foods.

  Changes to the GM Foods causes Changes to the Body which causes Changes to Health. Gluten sensitivity and Celiac disease are just two examples tied to GM Foods.Ghana will be Lost if the Government allows this to happen.!

Why do you people try to link every problem with GM? Check your facts again and you will learn that it is conventional bred oat and wheat which have these issues, and not GM crops......And it is precisely because of this that some argue that to think that conventionally bred crops are necessarily safer than GM crops is to completely misunderstand the science of plant breeding....! Anyway....
