For Constatin to appeal to the pagan citizen to accept a new religion named christianity which was more for political control than saving souls, the festivities of fertility god Easter that promotes sexual orgies after a long winter was maintained.It's changing dates depends on the movement of the sun. To fully grasp this, you have to leave in the cold areas of the world to see what the ancestors of Europeans meant by the death of the sun. Winter in the north countries in fact represent death. Every vegetation die out and according to calculations on the sun which the ancients knew very well, the sun stops to move for three days every year, known as the winter solstice. And nothing could be more frightening than that 3,000 years ago. So when the sun starts to make a journey back, The god of fertility was celebrated with orgies to replace the dead children lost to harsh and cruel winter. Mind you, there were no heaters and blankets back then.

And christmas based on winter solstice that holds the sun down at the north pole for three days and started moving back on December 25 thus making the sun the life giver be born again.
The sun has been replaced with son and the old paganism based on sun worshiping found new home and million has been killed for it and the rest, nothing but sheep ready for the slaughter house and the butchers are now Otabil,TBJ ,TJ Drake and the rest.

Easter is rather another pagan festival that deluded 'Christians' (Rev 12:9 2Cor 4:4) have appropriated, ostensibly to honor God and His Anointed Son. The internet abounds with information on the true origin of this pagan festival, but many are obstinately clinging to celebrating it and others like it.

God approves of only the worship He prescribes, not how we think we should worship Him! This is DANGEROUS. Let's learn from the example of Uzzah in 2 Sam 6.

The fact that it is in the bible does not mean God approves of such an evil plot. In Israel, easter is celebrates the slaughter of over 75,000 gentiles including women and children. Did God approve of such an act? There's nothing spiritual in that book. Both Martin Luther and Athanasius rejected it as apocryphal.

The protagonists, Esther and Mordechai plot something evil and get away with it. Dear readers please think about this deeply. If the people who were slaughtered had been our ancestors, would we even care reading the bible in the first place? A big NO because it contains the story of how our ancestors were brutally dealt with.

The names Esther and Mordechai are derived from Ishtar and Marduk, the head female and male deities of ancient Babylon!! This should sound alarm bells to Christians. Why would supposedly pious Jews accept the names of the chief gods of Babylon, the moral cesspool of antiquity? Why is God’s name never mentioned, yet these names of Babylonian arch-deities are constantly honored?
At the time of its writing (perhaps 150 years after Jewish exile under Nebuchadnezzar) Jews were rapidly reflecting Babylonian/Persian culture. The Jewish Encyclopedia indicates that by that time lay teachers, the "Sopherim," forerunners of the scribes and Pharisees, were already absorbing the theology, customs, and superstitions of Babylon. Much of this would be included in the later Babylonian Talmud. At that time it was highly popular to name children after Marduk and Ishtar. In revealing that Jews were doing the same, Esther reflects an increasing Babylonian influence on Jewish theology and culture.

Someone may argue that "the scriptures say that...." But who decides what is scripture? In the final analysis, every believer has the right to decide whether a book of the Bible bears witness to divine inspiration. The Christian is not bound to mindlessly follow church councils in any age. Personally, the Holy Spirit forbids me to recommend Esther.
Some may object, saying, "Shouldn't we be generous and see the overall high-minded message in Esther?" If an expert is analyzing a possibly counterfeit $100 bill, he does not adopt a "positive" point of view. He gives tenacious attention to the ways the bill under suspicion does not live up to the genuine. Every Christian is obligated to similarly "try the spirits… for many false spirits are gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)

So Otabil should spare us his easter talk and do more research.

They had no food or water and the situation looked hopelss. The Priest turned to the Nun and said "Sister, seeing as we are going to die out here, can you grant me one wish?"
