This is a criminal offence and these students must be prosecuted. Takoradi Poly has done well and must be commended.

There is a practice in this country which has become institutionalized in our tertiary institutions and high schools by which students who do not qualify on merit and are not fee paying are given admission.
The protocol quota can be as large as 40% of the entry class.

The question I would want to ask is who is more Ghanaian than the other? Which people have contributed to the national revenue more than the other over the last 100 years? In all these invariably it is to the disadvantage of people from the at least 12 Akyem districts which form more than half of the population of the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Ministry of Education and MPs (repesentatives) must explain to the general public this phenomenon.

There are reports that some students in the WASSCE exams are cheating because it is alleged that students from a certain region are helped to cheat and extra marks are awarded to them. WAEC and the Ghana police service must get to the bottom of this.

Though I support the clampdown on crimes in the country, some of these terms are very worrying. It is always the poor ones who suffer most. Look at the length of imprisonement given to the poor fella who stole cassava. How long will all these people who are draining Ghana dry get for their crimes against the state?
