Some churches are involved in all sorts of philanthropic activities. They bring a lot of foreign currency into the country for these purposes. However there are many churches, especially the Nigerian churches, which don't bring any foreign currency into this country. They are able to collect from their church members in cedis amounts of enormous proportions. They then buy US dollars or euros and then either transfer it to Nigeria through swift transfers or drive it from Ghana into Nigeria. Any Nigerian church involved in such activities must be shut down by the BOG.

Any Nigerian who wants to purchase foreign currency with cedis must be given Nigerian Naira or CFA Franc.

Congratulations. Rev. Martey has contributed a lot towards the anti corruption campaign which has often times brought politicians, often times of the NDC party, against him. He deserves this appointment.

Many readers here and other Ghanaians are not even aware that the Presbyterian Moderator is a strong NDC man. He has said this to many closed PCG Pastors in U.S and Europe and those working closely with him in his Accra based office know very well that he is a strong NDC man but when it comes to speaking his mind about the truth, he does not mince any word-he says things as they ought to be said. After all, that is why he is a great man of God. He is very affable, courageous, visionary and seeking good governance of Mahama and NDC. This does not make him NPP. If Nana Akufo Addo were president of Ghana today and the economy is as bad as it is now, the Moderator I know would have said the same things he is saying today. Please, those of you who were not brought up well by your parents and as such you always insult elder or leaders, try to fear God and know that God is looking at you when you insult Moderator.
