  I am a free minded Ghanaian of northern Ghana. My condolense to the FAMILY of the GREAT Hero RI Allhasan,the NPP, and Ghana as a nation.
  
  The problem I have is why this great hero was not spoken about when he was alive. All I hears is Busia,Dankwa Kuffour and professor Adu Buahene etc No one spoke of how he kick started the NPP until now,his contribution to the nation etc. The problem in Ghana is that its mr and the dr DO littles who are often spoken about. The NPP should start comming out clean by acknowledging the northners who with thier warior spirits contributed to start the party in the persons of S.D Dombo, RI Alhassan, Talon Na to mention a few. These were nationalist and not as the others who are mainly tribalist. Thanks To Paul Afpko And NANA for acknowledging him . BETTER LATE THAN NEVER......

I agree with you, but as I stated earlier in my comments this morning on "Ghana needing honest people" I stated that in politics you don't only have to acknowledge personalities from your tradition only. I also stated that politicians should apply some diplomacy and accept the existence of other personalities no matter where they come from.

  Personally I think Ghana has many heroes. The foundig mothers and fathers. Our honest politions, the honest teachers ,doctors,farmers. White people even acknowlegde their war criminlas while we African claim to have only one hero Nelson Mandela. Who keeps the Ghanaian Economy moving? Our trading MOMs And farmers. Lets start some where. Lets start recognising our heroes and I believe we have them every where. in vilages,towns etc, etc. By recognising our elders and heroes our children wil some day acknowledge us for our contribution.

  If you read Nana Addo's speech on Ghanaweb about the award, I stated that a politician needs to apply some diplomacy to win votes. My late father was a diplomat, so I know how it works. He never liked Arabs, but he had to play along whenever he met them. Please take look at when the diplomatic corps is invited to functions like independence day, swearing in ceremonies, etc, look at their faces! They clearly show that the event it a waste of time to them. Go and ask this diplomat whether he/she is ok, do you honestly think this diplomat will open his/her mouth and say it in your face that the event is boring? This is what the NPP need to adopt. I am not a JJ fan, but I can tell you he's very good at it.
  
  Dr. No nonsense, I don't know where you come from, but at least whenever you travel to any distant place in Ghana, you may not like the chief of the town, but at least you pretend to pay homage to him if he's passing by. Don't you? That is DIPLOMACY! Thank you for your patience & God bless you.
