  There is a place where you can be sure that you would find a representative (MP) from every part of Ghana year round gathered together to deliberate on the future and the current state of this country. Where is that? Parliament house of course. If there is such a place then how should the place and the people there be treated in the scheme of things? What priority should such the house be given in the governance of the country? If there is such a place then what kind of people should we send there and how should we assess their performance?
  
  In the load shedding exercise it is imperative that some key areas be left out. This should include where the three arms of government work and reside like Sakumono where MPs (representatives) reside and flag staff house and osu castle where the President works and resides. Where the chief justice works and resides should also be included. It should also include the premises of key government institutions like ministries.
  
  After winning an election a newly elected Parliamentarian must leave his constituency and come to Accra the National capital to represent his constituency while at the same time providing feedback to his constituents. Parliament must provide a readily available renovated residence to a newly elected parliamentarian who may have exhausted all his or her funds campaigning for office.

  There are simple things that the Assembly can do for the people of Sekondi-Takoradi but unfortunately our leaders don't know what to do.When some chiefs demanded that the govt creates the Western Region development fund of 10% from the oil revenue our MPs did not support it in parliament with the exception of Mr.Okyere-Darko.Today,how can the Assembly and MPs develop the Twin-City when the boat is already sinking?The oil has destituted many fisherfolks with negative socio-economic impact that needs to be addressed urgently.Sekondi- Takoradi is the capital of the region and we are expecting our MPs to seek our interest.Making the Twin-City a better place depends largely on our leaders here not in Accra.Thank you.
