How can you have your money at the bank and turn around to borrow money from the bank with interest higher than what they give you? Are such a fool like Awuku who thinks making noise will make him popular? I am surprised at these NPP people. Can't they tell their senseless communicators to stop these nonsense as it is hurting them than good? This is the reason why the free education backfired in the last minute for their defeat in the election. When you speak, people will listen. After they compare notes then, they will understand your foolishness and go against you. This is the problem with the NPP. They never say anything relevant perceiving all Ghanaians are like their supporters who just follow the flow. Oh NO. Gone are the days when only few people could have understood them.

Kufour's 8 years in office was spent begging foreign nations and international organizations to forgo our debts and he did get some waivers. What did he do with the savings which came from not paying some of our bills/debts? Instead of ensuring we have a continuous and uninterrupted supply of electricity (the basic need for development) throughout Ghana he chose to sell off government owned assets including real estates and land. To top it off he allowed Wererko Brobery and co to spend over $50 million on Ghana@50 when Ghana needed well equipped hospitals in each region and or well equipped ambulatory medical and fire emergency systems in every major city in Ghana. Did we get a reliable telecommunications network system at every government building that was functional? No so don’t talk about introspection when you and your NPP and Mahama and his NDC are busy talking trash while spending and misusing government funds on silly things.

The truth of the matter is ashanti/akan people think they are supper people and they own Gh. Mahama has it right; they won’t get satisfied unless it is from them. Kumasi pre-JJ and Kumasi post-JJ revo are two different cities. JJ used the entire national treasury to rebuild the decaying city & region, but still he is the number one enemy of these primitive people. He didn't build Ho; he didn't build his native Keta, a city now engulfed by the sea. Mahama got it right, he can cover all the roads & streets in AR with gold, they wont get satisfied. He can even bring the Atlantic Ocean to Kumasi and build a major harbor there; they won’t get satisfied unless you give then the presidency of Gh. These people are primitive with primitive people and want to live in primitive age of 21st century before Jesus Christ.

The Bank of Ghana (BOG) has no Eastern Regional headoffice. I don´t believe that the BOG has accurate data of the economic activity in the at least 12 Akyem districts which make up more than half the population on the region. The GDP and GNI of these Akyem districts are very high. They stem from:

Gold mining
Diamond mining
Cocoa
Oil Palm (the largest in West Africa)
Timber
Software development
etc

The money supply and capital in the at least 12 Akyem districts are wholly inadequate. BOG must remove impediments to the setting up of rural banks in these districts and encourage ADB and GCB to open branches in these districts.

The government must further ensure that wholly owned Ghanaian banks, including rural banks, get at least 80% of the banking revenue.
