If you use it to construct a road it should be a road which will attract tolls of the standard of Accra - Tema express road. It's value must be mentained or increased.

In Ghana, what is abnormal is taken to be normal. If there are well qualified Ghanaians sitting down and watching as national service personnel (I mean people coming out of school fresh) are put in charge of a whole ministry as ministers of state, then where are we heading? Why will it be necessary for Ghana Broadcasting Corporation for example, to ask for so many years of experience for a senior level position if there is a minister in charge of communication or information for example, without experience in any senior level position taking care of institutions including GBC? This hardly makes any sense to me. Unfortunately, there are always praise singers and defenders of wrong decisions like you Ade Coker for motives best known to you.

Lastly, unity of purpose and concensus building, which only means for short we are in a "tug of war." It's either you or me. Again it is neither you nor me can take credit.

On the oil itself it is not much compared to the MILLION barrels a day of Nigeria for example. Ghana share is only 10% plus the 5% that the Kufuor's elites bought for themselves. Consider the total revenue from crude as small change or "peanuts."

I wonder how many of us have the chance to join and read materials of quality opinions from Ghanaians at home and abroad on a GLU forum (Ghana Leadership Union ) Among those who frequent this online site are Presidential Advisers, Ministers, MPs, Journalists, Engineers, Medical Practitioners, Academicals, and plain ordinary working people, each with ideas to share.

The most surprising part is the deaf ears this government turns against ideas, suggestions and issues of relevancy to solutions that come out daily on the forum. People who surround decision making tables lack senses of foreseeability, vision, progressive intuitiveness, wisdom and, above all, willingness to condescend to voices of reason.

Unless we reduce the over-burdened power of appointing thousands of officers, ministers, DCEOs, cooks, janitors, judges, heads of departments institutions , depty this and deputy that as bestowed upon the President by our poorly written constitution we are doomed to having incompetent administrators to manage our national fate.

Where do you think the country is headed if not he abyss, when deep thinking has flown out of the window, when strategic thinking has gone with the wind, when visionary thinking has bolted out of the door and galloping into the sunset unrestrained and with boundless energy, leaving the country in the quagmire of retrogression.
Ghanaians hold the key to their own destiny, and this is the time to exercise that power, and vote out non-thinkers, whose only quest in gov't is to loot, because, until Ghanaians make their vote, their thumb count, all the money in the world would not turn the despondent situation around, absolutely nothing is going to happen.

your boss will build a national theater in kumasi rather than using comprehensive approach to wrestle our economic limbo. what is the use of a theater when people do not even have the funds to spend. when the stomach is satisfied then all other things will follow tell your boss. who will be at theater on an empty stomach? job creation first and by the way how many jobs can this create economically. the oil money has been abused from day one. instead of using part of this money to revive our abandoned industries like the bonsa tyres, asuatuare and komenda sugar factories, akosombo and juanpong textiles, the jute factory your boss is undertaking baby projects that will amount to nothing and he thinks he is the best thing that ever happened to ghana tweaaaaaaly. he was in kumasi putting dust in the eyes of those shallow minded chiefs and his partner in crime kwaku duah about constructing a 20 and 50km road linking who cares to endless pit. 20 and 50km road this is baby investment. workers you cant pay them,contractors no, national debt you cant bring it down so where is the oil money and who is holding ghana ransom.

I have been exonerated. This Yoruba semi-literate is an insider of the ruling NDC government and it seems officials of the ruling party, who are mostly university graduates, are not inspiring any hope in him. For those who don't know, universities in Ghana have been mandated by law to educate thinkers whiles the polytechnics and colleges are mandated to train practitioners and skilled work force. So if Ade cCoker is saying we lack strategic thinkers, it therefore means our university graduates are simply useless. Remember 99.99% of our ministers are university graduates; 98.88% of Parliamentarians in Ghana are Univeersity graduates; 97.77% of DCEs are university graduates; 100% of all directors of the MDAs are university graduates and majority of workers in Ghana are university graduates. Now the conclusion any reasonable person can draw is that UNIVERSITY GRADUATES ARE SIMPLY USELESS.

Lets take for example, the setup of this present Government,it is packed with particular people who are closed to the President.Whether they are competent or not is not what matters,even in the NDC some competent people who could have done the job well,are being looked over,because they are not close to the President.
Sycophancy is another problem among us,whether the Government of the day is preforming or not,people who are benefitting from the GOvernment will always sing their praises for fear of losing their previlages,so it goes on and on,and there is nothing anybody can do.
We all know Mahama`s Government is corrupt,incompetent,the economy is falling and falling,yet people always sit on Radio to tell us how well the Economy is doing.
Untill we all work together as one people,one destiny and one nation,we can have Einstein as President,nothing will work in this Country.

Burn down market centers, rebuild them with tax-payers' money and share amongst NDC members and relatives,initiate a shoddy project and and use it as a conduit to rob the state, intimidate and run political opponents of the highway and make it seem like a genuine motor traffic accident,and inability to govern a nation even if given 70 years. A case in point, look at what Asiedu Nketia is suggesting " Use the Heritage Funds". A deja vu banditry of looting. For 22 years of Rawlings rule can we boats of any proper development? Still we use cutlases and hoes to farm, chieftaincy disputes, land litigations, land guards killing innocent prople, useless and bogus land title registration, bad roads even despite the numerous death on our roads government and people in authority seems not to care. Do we even have a white paper on the recently market fires and what lesson have we learn. Oh Americans forensic team came and what is the actual report and what lesson is the government learning from tell Mr Coker. All that the government is thinking of is how he will win the next election and people like you Mr Coker will rise up again and defend useless decisions of the government.
