While waiting for the accountant general Boachsoft Finance 2012 software, developed in Accra and in East Akyem in the Eastern Region of Ghana, is helping these employees in Ghana to balance their budget and save for rent-advance . People say it is better than the American product Quicken in many ways.

The next version would be released in December 2015.

The controller and accountant generals department must expedite the payment of new employees. Rent-advance is expensive and some new employees have to resort to sugar daddies to solve the problem.

The current practice where newly inducted doctors called house officers with no experience whatsoever are left to experiment with (attend to) serious medical cases while residents, specialists and consultants are away must be put to a stop immediately. There must be at least one specialist present 24 hours in three shift rotations to supervise them. Our health system as it is presently is not the best. The situation in the countryside and rural communities is even worse.

It is not only Doctors [in Government service] who suffer this fate. All other people who chose to work in the government service are served this type of menu year on year. The problem has to be solved holistically. Mind you, some people in authority gain from this delay in the commencement of paying newly appointed officers. This was the reason why the government put a limit to the number of months of delay to only three [3] months. They say IPPD, Accountant General's Dept, Verification, picture taking day, signature day etc. This affects nurses, teachers, any other person engaged in the gov system. The problem should be solved. It has been there for ages. People pass through and introduce ghost names etc.

I cannot fathom out the fact that new employees or recruits in state institutions are not paid for months if not years after receiving their appointment or enlistment letters and postings, When there are so many 'ghost' names on the Government's Payroll. How do the authorities expect them to survive? This is pure poor management,wickedness and madness,this situation is becoming the order of the day notably, the Ministry of Health, Education,Immigration Service,Customs etc. Naturally,the affected employee are not able to voice out vehemently for fear of being sacked after investing heavily through training and in some case through huge amounts of bribe or some other means(guess) May i please suggest that no Minister or Head of Department or Finance should be paid until all their subordinates are paid.

Everything continue to mess up under NDC. I'm wondering why? Isn't it the result of election fraud? The funny thing is that the NDC lied about Kuffour and his ministers; they promised to make Ghana good. Led by Mr. Rawlings they said that they'll jail Kuffour and his ministers. Hmmm! People should just open their eyes; it's just no jokes. The economic situation is getting worse each passing day. It's so pathetic!
