This is a Nigerian war. They must stand and fight it. They have always lied to the world that all was in control.

Rawlings sent soldiers to Northern Ghana to take care of the Kokomba and Nanumba skirmishes. The right level of force was used, and the unrest was brought under control although with high collateral damage (loss of lives). But that was necessary.

If this piece is really attributed to Mahama then this is the wisest pronouncement I've ever heard come out of his mouth.

I'm not sure if this is because this case involves ourchildren. African children for that matter.

Chiidren everywhere are our future and for Africa, who knows if one of these children could grow up to be the great African leader we've been yearning for since Nkrumah.

So for this particular time only, I will give Mahama KUDOS.
If only he could show this astuteness in all other areas of his governance of Ghana, maybe our beautiful Ghana wouldn't be in such a mess.

I'm not holding my breath though, because his record tells me otherwise.

Maybe he's just 'showboating' because he is on the world stage now. That will be very sad because there are children involved here and it will feel like the girls have been'tortured' for the 2nd time. First by BOKO HARAM for kidnapping them and then by Mahama for using their plight to popularize himself.

God help Africa!!!!

Now, let us put Nigeria into a critical perspective here, shall we? A country with a huge natural resources, some being oil and gas in huge quantities, untapped iron ore, Barites, Gypsum, Kaolin, Marble, Lead/Zinc, Bentonite, Baryte, Gold, Coal, Rock Salt, Gemstones, just to mention but a few.

Yet, these above mentioning are just considered as the traditional natural resources. Now, just imagine what their vast arable land could bring extra on board if fully developed. It is against this backdrop that it is exceedingly difficult to understand why all is going terrible wrong with Nigeria and the answer is not far fetch if you are to ask me. Is Nigerian story any uniquely different from the rest of the countries in Africa? Well, I sincerely don’t think so.

Even the Nigerian government could orchestrate the missing of the girls to garner support. The presidency was twisted from the hands of the northerners. It's their turn and Jonathan knows this . for goodness sake he must not seek second tenure else we are going to see the worst. This problem must be handled with care to keep Nigeria together. Boko Haram is everywhere in Nigeria. They are in the military, police among the politicians as well as other walks of life.If Nigeria breaks into civil war West Africa cannot contain the refugees and our systems would paralyse including the economies and security. No solution to Boko Harram until Nigerian politicians become sincere to each other and solve the problem amicably . our version of it would have been the all die be die approach that did not hold because of political maturity on the part of our politicians. When you so called THIEVES who have imposed yourselves on poor Africans as LEADERS stop traveling to Europe and the US for medical care on the least sickness, and channel that stolen money into developing our human resource, the west will recognize our efforts and help. Look at Nigeria, a country rich in everything yet their citizens live in squalor. These stupid leaders supposedly live in huge mansions surrounded by filth. Their simple thinking makes them feel they are doing good in life. We are slowly following Nigeria. The underlying cause of this Boko Haram is POVERTY.
