Okudzeto Ablakwa was very instrumental in holding the opposition in check. He was able to keep at bay the likes of the defeated general secretary,Owusu Afriye alias Sir John,Mocta baba and some opposition radicals like kenedy Agyapong,Ohene Awuku and that talaban from the north,Anthony kabo, former youths organizer.Because Ablakwa distinquished himself when he was deputy information secretary,it will be prudent to consider bringing him back to his former post if not to elevate him.He was a good researcher,he gave direct answers to difficult questions.Bring him back so as to add impetus to the already paralysed information ministry.

Ablakwa, for once try to be objective and admit to your mistakes in order for you to make progress.
This man Mr.John Mahama and most of you in the NDC are noted for making irresponsible statements/comments and when challenged, your usual responses are insults and blaming someone else.
It's about time you stop playing on our intelligence and treating us like fools.
For a man in charge of leading a country to say in public that" to some people if you paint their streets with gold they will not appreciate"means a lot and very insulting.
Irrespective the provocation,as a president he should be mindful of what comes out of his mouth in public.
One thing lacking in Ghana(Africa)politics is failure to understand accountability. Most of the time you don't do the right things and when criticized, you lose your tongs.
Nobody is doctored the tape or making up stories against your boss but he can't handle the the task placed on him and no amount of excuses or attacks on those who disagree with him/you(NDC)will stop us from voicing out our concerns for your failures.

Southern tribes look down upon Northerners, not only Asantes
I believe that every tribe in Ghana is important
Every tribe has bad sides
At the same time every tribe has good sides
We should progress in peaceful existence if we respect all tribes#
All the southern tribes including my own Ewes, Gas, Fanti, Asante, Akuapem, Assin, Bono, Sefwi, Ahanta, Nzema etc traditionally think Northerners are uncivilised and fools. That’s the bitter truth.
That tradition does not go for Ashantis alone as some southern tribes wickedly and deliberately put across.
They wickedly spread the idea that only Ashantis traditionally don’t regard Northerners
All the Southern tribes are guilty of that value. bigot
Asantes are wickedly and bigotishly cited as the only tribe which traditionally looks down upon Northerners. That’s a lie.
I challenge NDC top dogs John Mahama, Murtala Muhammed, Fiifi Kwetey, Okujeto Ablakwa, Rich Quarshiga, Doe Ameho, Nii Lante , Anyidoho etc to refute that.
The Ewes hide the fact that traditionally they regard Northeners as uncivilised and look down upon them.
The Ewes and Gas are traditionally guiltier than Ashantis in that regard and they hide it behind ‘’minority tribe’
The Ewes/Gas portray Asante as being guilty of that posture but they are more guilty
The Northeners must know this . We know the traditions
Ghana politics should be rid of parochial ethnocentricism against Ashantis being championed deceptively by Ewew, of all forms.

It is accident of location in life that has made people of Northern extraction troop to the wet lands of the south for jobs because of the unfriendly weather in their homeland. We all know how hard-working and friendly these people are. We can also attest to the age-long friendly relationships they have had with their brothers in the south. The question to be answered is why the sudden change? The answer can only be found in the greed of politicians from both divide. Some of our politicians including mostly those from the North who incidentally have provided a sitting President behave as if we are from different planets, only meeting for the first time that their son has become a President of this "planet" called Ghana. If this were not so, how could a whole Northern President go to a region supposedly to be a stronghold of an opposing party howbeit he has garnered substantial votes in the last election notwithstanding that place being a stronghold of the NPP to make disparaging remarks to wit- no matter how graceful the fowl dances, the dance does not appeal to the hawk and even gold-plaited roads will not please people of that city? Who, in this issue is the fowl, and who is the hawk? Sadly with such disparaging remarks some NDC members find nothing wrong? God save Ghana! I, personally can only say that those who find nothing wrong with the President's unguarded and divisive talk are the Agent provocateurs of Ghana, stocking fires of conflict in our dear Ghana. What, in the name of Christ would be lost if our Northern brothers close to the President tell him unequivocally that he has not spoken well instead of trying gleefully to defend him? The name ""Pepefo" if unknown to our brothers in the North , is not derogatory, it simply means people who stand for the truth ("perepere fo") Any old Ashanti and for that matter Akan will testify to this. What therefore has changed now?
To be honest, the President did not help himself when he entered Kumasi city with Daddy Lumba's song "Yentie obiara" If his speech came on the heels of such a song nobody can tell me that the President's speech was not premeditated simply to hurt the sensibilities of Asanteman. Admission of wrongdoing is not a weakness but a sign of bravery and being level-headed. In life we should admit our mistakes and ask to be forgiven particularly when we are building a nation together.

Why do you talk as if it is not the responsibility of every government to undertake developmental projects? If you care to know, such monies do not come from the pockets of either the President in power or the Party in power but it is from the collective taxes, grants and accruals from natural resources of the land. Since governments cannot satisfy all the needs of the people at the same time, every government
tackles this responsibility one after the other in a prioritized mode. It is lack of education on the part of the populace that is making some people feel governments are Father Christmases who have singular and extraordinary love for their areas hence governmental projects to those areas. It is a right of the people and a duty on the part of every government to so share this state wealth equitably while of course looking at the possibility of such projects raking returns into its kitty by way of taxes.
Let us appreciate but not idolize state officials in the performance of this duty which they came to seek our mandate to do in the first place, and for which we pay them alongside the freebies you can think of.
The NCCE has a lot of education to do to make all of us hold our governments accountable and thus stop idolizing these sons and daughters to whom we have entrusted our collective destiny.

The President during his tour of the Western region insulted them as well. In the Eastern region, he again insulted them. The Ashanti region has also been insulted. The issue at stake, which should engage the attention of Ablakwa"isofoton"Okudzeto is why his party and it's leadership has the penchant and propensity for engaging in insults, vituperations, aspersions and insinuations? Indeed, this whole thing about insults is not new to the Mahama led NDC gov't, so why all the fuss? Let the President come out and say he does not like the song as put out there by Samuel Sarpong the regional minister, Kojo Bonsu the KMA boss and a host of others during their meeting. This obscene goat is a cow, toothpick is a timber log Baba Jamal type of propaganda and doctoring of tape singsong should be preached to the marines, period!!!

The president should be mystified; to hear the Ashanti Regional Minister made such vitriolic statement to back this song. No political has the right to tell the people who voted for the party we will not listen. You are providing grounds and ammunitions for you opponents to use against you. As a matter of urgency, the president and his party should distance them selves from this song and the people who played it. They do not represent the views of the government. In 2000 election, the NDC lost because people were fedup with the insensitive personalities of the DCEs, MMCEs and Ministers who put themselves above everyone. History repeats itself. Mr. President, don't allow a repeat of history. Those speaking up for the usage of this song goofed big time and don't have any clue about its implications. The president and the party should not be tied to it.
