Does anybody out there still trust these NDC guys? How can your finance minister say one thing and the president say another? The minister says he has sent the "blueprint" to the IMF, even providing the title of the document, and the president comes out to deny it. What you are doing is trying hard to lure the stakeholders out there to get their endorsement for what you have already drawn up, so that when the blowback starts, you can blackmail and muffle them with the argument that they too endorsed the document. The point is, the whole government appears to be hooked on stupid politics and propaganda machinery, instead of expounding sound policies. Always acting in bad faith has not gotten you anywhere, you just have been harvesting deep mistrust from the public, John Mahama. We don't trust you. You are a prolific smooth talker, but you don't know squat.

5years on, how have you and your administration carried yourselves? Every advice or suggestion anybody has given you outside the NDC is received with scorn, disdain, insults and suspicion by useless infantile ministers and NDC talkers, but now that you are drowning under the weight of your own incompetence, you want advice from the opposition. Fools, do you remember Dr. Bawumia? What did you not say about him, not an economist but a mere accountant. That his opinions are only comparable to that of a Makola market woman. You have made your bed, now you must sleep in it. Resign if you can't do the job. The NPP is done throwing you a lifeline of ideas. Go figure.

But when the 1966 coup makers made Busia the driver, he and Akufo Addo's father PAID THEMSELVES 2 YEARS IN ADVANCE. Did the NDC tell Ghanaians to vote for them to improve the lives of Ghanaians, or to organise forums with NPP participation to rectify the self- inflicted economic mess that the nation currently finds itself ?

Didn't Mahama tell Ghanaians that nobody can stop him from borrowing more money on behalf of Ghanaians to chew chin-chinga ?

What did Mahama and his fellow stealers tell Bawumia after offering them solutions to their self-made problems ?

Mahama should do the most honourable thing by resigning and allowing those capable of managing the econmy better take over.

They even question us what to do in case the "kitchen is too hot". Lack of common sense are expressing desperation with their zongo boys and what benefits of such economic forum can amount to when at the end the same lack of common sense will drive that outcome. Dear reader, having just read the story filed here by radioxyzonline.com, captioned, 'Ghana has not opted for an IMF programme - Mahama', contrast it with another filed by citifmomline.com on the same issue on the same day, headed
"Gov’t working to meet IMF requirements – Terkper".

While "President John Mahama says his government has not entered into an International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme to bailout Ghana from current economic challenges", his "Minister of Finance, Mr. Seth Terkper has revealed that Ghana is undergoing key processes for a bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF)".

Dear forumer, in simple language, while the President says, "No", his Finance Minister says, "Yes"? So who is who in the management of our economy?

It must be pointed out that such conflicting statements from what is expected to be the same source, threatens the credibility of government and must be checked and stopped.

Of course, Mr. Oyokoba, of the Bronx, there are still clusters of passionate supporters who will go to bat for the embattled President even at the point of death...and it all boils down to the intransigence of your party, the NPP...its stunning inability to realise that all hands on deck is what the country desperately needs now...and not the holier-than-thou attitude so often on display..

Boycotting a national forum convened by your political opponent is defeatist in the first place;it reveals the absolute disdain and contempt the NPP has for Ghanaians....after all, the forum is a meeting place of ideas, indeed, a platform for all to trot out their solutions, and above all, an opportunity to announce to the nation that it is totally committed to the interests of the nation...

Bawumia's treatment at the hands of NDC footsoldiers is standard political criticism..it is done everywhere democracy thrives...and Ghana is no exception....stinging criticisms were hurled Bawumia's way, but he was equally unrestrained in his pilloring of the NDC administration's economic policies.

The reason advanced by the NPP for boycotting the economic forum is as absurd as it is misleading. The painful fact is that the IMF will always be in our lives no matter how much we detest its presence...so if the NDC has already submitted its economic programme to that detestable international financial institution, it should not under circumstances be the driver behind the NPP's boycott...

There comes a time when a party overplays its hands and this is exactly what we are seeing from the NPP which ultimately will be viewed as a party of immature adults...who can't seem to see political wisdom even if it hits them in the face like a two-ton brick....

The Ashanti regional minister, Samuel Sarpong said the music with the message, WE WILL NOT LISTEN TO ANYBODY was intentionally selected to send a message to Ashanti region.

If Mahama has already sent in his message that he will not listen to anybody especially Npp, why should Npp waste their time attending this farce and window dressing event.

Secondly, Npp gave a detailed economic solution advice to this government about six months ago and Mahama and his economic genius team led by "economic wizard" Fiifi Kwartey insulted Dr Bawumiah as an ill informed Accountant who has no idea about economic matters. Dr Bawumiah who was awarded the best Economic Professor at Baylor University at Waco, Texas when Kwartey was an undergraduate Economic student at Legon, a far cry from the best Economic institution in the world, UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO.

Why should Npp attend, they are still going to give the same advice by Dr Bawumiah who will led any Npp team on any economic conference.

Mojingles, there is no need for npp attendance. If they need npp contribution, they can go to the archives and dig out Dr Bawumiah's paper.

As for the boycott, I wish the NPP had elected to attend where their ideas would have been a welcome respite to the mundane economic policies we have seen so far....this was an opportunity for the NPP to offer an alternative agenda, a different perspective vis a vis the revival of our anemic economy.

I think if Bawumia had not laced with proposals with insults and contempt for the economic policies of the NDC, perhaps his ideas would have been embraced.

Sometimes, when dealing with the opposition, it is absolutely important to couch your words in diplomatic-speak so as not to offend but to appear willing to help in the national reconstruction effort despite your strong dislike for the views of your opponent.

Now if the economy rebounds with help from the IMF, the NDC will surely claim credit and point to the intransigence of the NPP and its absence from the forum in particular as reasons why Ghanaians should retain the NDC in power....

Strategic politicking sometimes demands that you swallow your pride and cooperate with the opposition even if you have to hold your nose to do that..

Jerusalem (CNN) -- Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was sentenced Tuesday to six years in prison for taking bribes while mayor of Jerusalem.

Olmert was also fined 1 million shekels (about $289,000), Israeli state radio IB reported.

Olmert was convicted in March of receiving about $161,000 in bribes related to a controversial Jerusalem housing project called Holyland. The judge acquitted Olmert on a third count of bribery.

The developer of Holyland, Hillel Cherney, had been previously convicted of bribing Olmert and other high-level officials in exchange for Holyland approvals.

2012: 'Right-wing dollars killed peace' Olmert was mayor of Jerusalem from 1993 to 2003.

Olmert, an attorney who in 1973 became the youngest person ever elected to Israel's parliament, the Knesset, served as prime minister from 2006 to 2009.

He announced his resignation shortly after police recommended corruption charges against him.

In August 2012, he was convicted of breach of trust and acquitted on two corruption-related charges after a trial that lasted nearly three years. He was given a 3-month suspended jail sentenced and fined about $19,000 in that case.

The allegations stemmed from Olmert's time as mayor as well as prime minister. Prosecutors accused him of double-billing government agencies for travel, taking cash from an American businessman in exchange for official favors and acting on behalf of his former law partner's clients.

The finance minister Seth Terkper who went for the article IV consultations with the IMF in Washington said yesterday from a report culled from citifmonline said, this forum is just an endorsement of a set of proposals that they have already agreed upon with the IMF, from 2014-17 to address the self-inflicted short term economic and financial crisis engineered by the Mahama led NDC gov't, so why this double speak, from the gov't? It's very worrying that the Mahama led NDC gov't would engage in double speak on such very serious matters, and would seek to engage in propaganda and use phrases such as a "work in progress" and whatnots, when the forum is basically an endorsement of a set of measures. Indeed, such propaganda tinged approach to matters of serious national concern especially with our finances and the economy is the very basis why our international donor partners have held onto budget support ascribing a significant lack of confidence in the ability of the NDC gov't to address the fundamentals, and likewise, have seen all the various stakeholders as well as the citizenry expressing their absolute lack of confidence in the Mahama led NDC gov't to institute the needed policies and programs based on competence to address the immediate short term crisis and the future medium to long term transformational agenda. It speaks to the very issue of the NDC gov't much more concerned about the next elections than the generational effects of sound, transparent, accountable and good governance.

Is it not his own finance who came out to tell Ghanaians that they have already submit their program of salvaging the economy to the IMF and that the out come of the NEF is not in any way going to change what they have already presented and that they essence of the NEF is only to serve as a way of information to give people the opportunity to know what the government is doing. No matter what, December 2016 will come we will go to the pulls again, Ghanaians should stand up and fight for their nation by voting out this confused people.

Both NPP and NDC has nothing better to offer Ghanians. A typical example is around 2005 or 2006, the NPP government stated the Kumasi-Accra road. Up-till now, the same road is under construction after two different political terms by NPP and NDC. Government affordable housing initiated is stand still as I speak. Electricity and water has become a dillemma for the people of Ghana. These are basic neccessities that should be offered regardless of government in power. Ghanians allow themselves to be fooled by frugal poiliticians by them issuing out chicken change in-reward for their political powers. A great critical thinker would ask him/herself that "what will happen if I dont vote for either political party"? The answer is nothing. Actually Ghanians will benefit massively if they decides to give a shot to other political parties instead of voting for the same "serial killers" every fours years. God save this country.
