His submissions simply attest to the fact that the politician knows it all but he is constrained by partisan politics which is largely predicated on ethnocentric motivations in our part of the world. The just ended National Economic Forum isn't a waste of time in my opinion, but that for the first time, an African leader wants to change the status-quot. My only problem with it was how people like Bernard Monah and Rawlings blatantly in ignorance or by intention made comments to mar the beauty of the whole process. In short this was like a beautiful dress worn with a wrecked zip. Ghanaians, start thinking!

Indeed, this Fiavi Kwetey character was on air with a supposed green book to set the record straight and tout the achievement of his NDC gov't on the implementation of the single spin salary structure, which on hindsight has proven to have been incompetently implemented based on the lack of the brain capacity to understand the policy, which was crafted based on wide spread stakeholder engagement and the combination of various committee actions and works since 1967, to address the issue of salary remuneration amongst public sector workers in the country. The Mahama led NDC gov't messed it up, and Fiavi Kwetey was on air singing the praises of a badly flawed implementation of the SSSS. So for the likes of Fiavi Kwetey to turn around and say that, a policy which his gov't lacked the competence to implement, based on it's inability to comprehend, as one of the supposed causes of the country's economic stagnation shows a very dimwitted assertion of the facts. Indeed, the problem of Ghana is the NDC gov't which has demonstrated a huge inability to think, crass incompetence and ineptness, unbridled thievery, sheer propaganda, insults and deceit, a yenti3 obiaa drive into nothingness, a huge unquenchable appetite for create, loot and share, and amongst others, an overbearingly nauseating quest to remain in power at all cost, via fair and foul means, when it's clear they cannot perform or deliver. That is the problem and the economic forum cannot be the panacea to the very problem which Ghana seeks to solve when the very architects of the problem are still in the driving seat. It's akin to filling a water tank with a basket, a very, very fruitless and useless exercise. Until Ghana resolves to massively ditch the NDC gov't at the ballot box with about 99% of their votes, in which case no amount of rigging can change the verdict, Ghana is going absolutely no where with the Mahama led NDC gov't. Those are the hard bare facts.

If what FIIfi Kwetey is saying is anything to go by, and is the feeling of the majority, then the recent Economic Forum was a sheer waste of time and resources. What the Forum could have done was to have rather brainstormed to fashion out a different approach towards the type of democracy we have foisted on ourselves. I personally think the democracy as practiced by many African countries including Ghana is too alien to the African and needs fine-tuning to incorporate African values. Unlike the West where the democracy as we practice here is working for them, ours is simply bringing division and rancor. This should tell us that we have failed in adapting the white man's version of democracy to the African and Ghanaian situation but choose to swallow hook, line and sinker, a system that is alien to us.
A debate should start now towards building a home-brewed African democracy which basis can be found in our culture.

May God Forgive you? Yet God should let you suffer before you die for using propaganda to deceive Ghanaians and bring such hardship on us. President Kuffour’s time every business was going on well.
