NO MORE SLAVE WORKERS BUT EQUAL AND ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS. THE AUTHORITY MUST NOT SELL OUT OR WE WILL BE CONTROLLED BY FOREIGN COMPANIES AT THE PORTS. This spells it all out! The modern equivalence of the trinkets, 3rd grade rum, guns and gun powder, etc. that the whites used to exchange for the slaves in the past.

The issue is that the laws are being flouted by this Mahama Admin in such a way that is clearly detrimental to the long term interest of Ghanaians. Can't they think at all???

GPHA is the sole entity mandated to deal with issues of ports in the country, so how come this exclusivity? One just cannot understand the lawlessness. It's legendary.

What are you afraid of MDU? If GPHA is capable of building Ports then they should have been able to manage Tema and Takoradi Ports better and ensure its expansion over the years. What do we see right now?

Nzema has been deprived of industrial development for so long. So, the construction of the port will, undoubtedly, address part of the situation. Being privately owned, the port, when built, can receive the necessary finance for maintenance without the usual fuss and political tension which is associated with government's projects.

What is needed is enforcement of a law to bring the company into line.
