THe department is very corrupt and totally incompetent.
GHANA IS A COUNTRY THAT IS DROWNING IN ITS OWN FILTH. THE KORLE LAGOON IS CLEANER THAN THE MORALITY OF THIS GODFORSAKEN COUNTRY OF GREEDY, SELFISH, DANGEROUS PEOPLE
The govt and for that matter Parliament should come out with Laws that makes it compulsory to undertake Road Worthy test every year. This will help to minimise the road accidents.
WE ALL KNOW THAT THIS WILL ONLY BENEFIT DVLA AND DEFINITELY NOT THE NATION. THIS IS SAD JUST MORE ROOM FOR CORRUPTION. IF THERE SHOULD BE A TEST THEN IT MUST NOT BE BY THE TERRIBLE INSTITUITION.
These corrupt fools tried to swindle $150 from me to give me a 2-year Ghana license. It cost me a whole $29 for my 4-year US license. They are so clueless they wanted to see my "United States" licence and not a Pennsylvania l ...

school for drivers not a bad idea though or two years renewal of driving license are all pretext to widen the corruption and bribery network.
school for drivers? not a bad idea though and two years mandatory for renewal of driving licenses are all pretext to widen the corruption and bribery network for the dvla boys.
This is a big step to test & improve on driver skills especially road signs, most of these drivers I believe buy DL's from these Goro boys, hence driving carelessly and above all killing ppl.
motorbike/cars/ and commercial trucks..all are required to have road test with exam tester present in car/truck...only biker is giving a parking lot test

Don't even bother to compare what goes on in civilised USA to filthy and corrupt Ghana.
This is another avenue for corruption. I wonder why Ghanaians can't get away from this. Why testing every two years? How often are the technical officers also tested? Forget about this and rather streamline the acquisition ra ...

Please, do not create another avenue for DVLA staff to take bribes. Mr Musah, before our Maker I know very you were all part of the bad practice at DVLA . It should be increased from 2 to 10years

Taking three hours of millions of workers time is substantially high enough to impose additional strain on the ailing and diminutive national economy. Shooting from the hip policies without first studying the over-all effect ...

THIS IS A TOTALLY USELESS INSTITUTION.
A CORRUPT LAW BY CORRUPT OFFICIALS FOR CORRUPT INSTITUTION. SHAME ON YOU.
this is ridiculous, how 2 years is too short for a licence renewal. it is waste of money and resources on the customer even developed countries have it for 5 years so why cant we have it that way.
ONLY NDC HAVE THE POLITICAL WILL TO MANAGE GHANA. WELLL DONE
... Because the useless university graduates are still in-charge.
This is completely unneccesary as it would only open more avenues for goro boys. The current process even with renewal is so cumbersome it takes an average of 90 minutes to renew. Productivity is our problem and if would not ...

Chance for DVLA officials to take bribe again.its useless move. Subject new poeple who want to take license to such trinning.primary school ideas.
Look into marking the roads too. Check on the so called contractors and add this to their contracts. Faded or no road markings or signs makes driving a 'NIGHTMARE' in Ghana.
The DVLA is surely created another channel for the people to be looted.
The problem we have now is not that genuine drivers were not well trained. It is rather that most of the licenses issued were not legally acquired. We ...

DVLA is on it again. This is another ploy to extort monies from drivers. DVLA's existing is useless. Stop devising ways of duping drivers.

This policy is extremely shoddy. I think renewal of licenses should be extended to every four years and not two.
Our policy formulators churn out policies that have corrupt undertones.
It is another opportunity to cheat!
Won't our leaders ever get out of corrupt practices? All they think about is what next for money grabbing. How can one who is good enough to drive forget how to do so in two years?
