  why are these NDC idiots crying , wailing and gnashing their teeth about the NPP not participating in their foolish propaganda gimmick labeled the economic waste of time chop money forum? Even their own duffuor and peprah or worthy businessmen like Sam Jonah and Ken Agyapong amongst others distanced themselves from that farce or hastily prepared event. did they not so long ago say they have a better agenda , action year, manifesto , no need for an all inclusive govt or tapping into the potentials of even the diaspora , no need for free education in the south too, no need to investigate the mysterious death of Mills , encouraging sodomy and homosexuality , govt still in first gear or now in reverse or completely stopped for lack of the fuel of ideas . In fact things are so bad that the long overdue reshuffle can not happen as all worthy , competent people with integrity refuse to participate in the mess of a govt or serve under and idiot of a pepeni president Mahama. Even schoolboy fifi kwetey admits the forum is unnecessary as our problems are all about NDC POLITICS and their incorrigible rouge socialism which further pushes our people to poverty . if you speak up and dont sing their hallelujah chorus of stupidity and hatred of the Akans you will be immediately be branded a drug baron , corrupt , arrogant , ashanti/akyem primitive ,madman , deranged , fool or idiot for pointing them in the right direction . how can there be a successful economic dialogue that will produce sustainable macroeconomics and plans based on the positive potentials of our people if all the major stakeholders including the diaspora or promoters of worthy projects not invited . if no one can dare to criticize the govt for fear of being victimized or persecuted by the ewes and northerners today ? The potential of the majority due to this tribal ndc politics is excluded from participating in anything so how do they expect the move things forward in reality have nothing to offer except corruption , hatred of the Akans and narrow mindedness? petition or not this govt is burdened by being illegitimate in the minds of all citizens ( as all still suspect election rigging and corruption of the judges ) so can never perform or have the true authority and support of the majority to produce a better future.one way or another they will be made to leave as their despicable acts have lead to all victims deeply despising them. PV is gone and all we can say is we feel relief that one more evil traitor of the Akans has gone to hell

  So Nana, what is the point of your article? You have made one thing clear though, Ghana style multi-party democracy will not work and produce results to benefit the common man. You are right ,?and it is not only Ghana that is in this league, several other developing countries that are practising multiparty democracy are not getting it right. These countries are stuck at the base of the development rung of the ladder. The so called developing countries that were contemporaries of Ghana at independence , Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, .... have made it but not through Ghana style multiparty democracy.? Lee Kuang Yew the founder of Singapore ruled the country for many years and made Singapore what it is. His son is now ruler. Malaysia had Dr Mohammed in control for several years and he succeeded in making Malaysia what it is. I have heard people mentioning great strides being made by our neighbour Bukina Faso in agriculture, a paise Campaore has been in control since Sankara was killed. Rwanda has also been cited as an example, Paul Kagame has been in charge since the rebuilding of the country after the ravages of war. The leaders of these countries had vision and with singleness of purpose got their country men and women to rally to the call for national development. No luxury of multiparty Ghana style democracy. So Ghanaians have made a choice and have to live by it. I dare say that we will never make it with multiparty democracy!!! We are stuck and will remain undeveloped, with only the privileged in the two parties NDC and NPP benefiting. Look at the example of China, at the end of the Mao revolution China was very poor and under developed. When they changed course and did away with the communes and introduced elements of western capitalism into economic management they are after 30 years second only to the USA. They have done it without the luxury of multiparty democracy. Any developing country that wants to break away from the vicious cycle of poverty for the majority must abandon multiparty system of democracy. It is a luxury we cannot afford period!!!

  Also, here are a list of countries that failed without a multiparty system: Central Africa Republic, DR Congo, Somalia, Haiti, Soviet Union, North Korea, Togo, Burkina Faso (ranked 183 out of 187 in terms of Human Development - we are 135), Ghana (During the last years of Nkrumah, under the Supreme Military Council, during the first half of JJ), China (under Mao), France (under Louis XVIII) etc.

  The problem of a multi-party system is not as simple as the stupid economic policies you're picking on as the major cause of our woes. Ideally, after the elections the chronic partisanship must cease. The President-elect thereafter becomes the president of the entire nation in truth and in reality. Like a good father he ought to be father of all his children. He cannot pick and choose from among his children whom he will favor because he is only the steward of whatever possessions the family has.
  Though in theory each of us has equal rights and are entitled to equal opportunities and equal justice, this is not what happens in reality. Those who did not vote for the president are punished as if they lost their rights to citizenship and even among those who voted for the president it's only a select greedy group closest to the president who are lavished with the goodies of the land. In a multi democratic culture what prevents the president from tapping from the entire human resource, from his own party and from across the political divide? You see it's not just the economic policies but the partisan and vindictive manner in which we approach the political system.
  Besides there's no transparency and accountability in the manner we do government business. There is bound to be abuses if we operate our government business in this manner. These abuses could even be worse in a one party system. Apart from transparency and accountability there ought to be a decentralization of power and authority. Public institutions must be allowed to operate independently of the central government. There is too much power vested in the hands of the president and a few of his closest friends and cronies. Power they say corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely. The reforms must start from the way we do government business. We are coming fresh from an economic forum. Whatever policies and consensus we adopt will not yield the desired results if we continue with business as usual. If there's no deviation from the recklessness and systemic corruption now the end results would not be any different even if we adopt cutting edge economic policies and implement them in a multi party or one party system.
