U keep saying it's good for ecowas yet you never proof ur case...thank god for Goodluck Jonathan for seeing thru all this.

Siigning the EPA has no viable option because not signing it is like cutting trade links with Europe - Ghana cannot survive that.
I think the current misconception about the EPA is due to the failure of government officials to communicate what the EPA means. For instance though the EPA has the tendency to increase imports from Europe, it wii also increase exports from Ghana to Europe. Overall, volume of trading between Ghana and Europe (exports plus imports) will expand and this will create more and more new employments for Ghanaians.

Analyst, you know very well that there are alternatives to the European markets. For what Ghana exports, AGOA offers better alternatives/options. It also offers a larger market. The EU partners in the produce sectors of Ghana and ECOWAS will not sit idle for their investments to be wasted. They will help re-open the EU markets for their investments or help seek other options.
What does this minister know about the EPA? She probably started learning about the agreement this year. Look into the backgrounds of the EU representatives involved in the EPA. You will find out that they have been involved in the initial EEC concept in the early 70's to the current EU reality. I am sure none of the ECOWAS pioneers are participants in this EPA nonsense.
I do not blame Hannah Tetteh, Iddrisu, Pelpuo or any of the Ghanaian EPA decision makers. Iddrisu speaks and looks like a fish out of water. Hannah Tetteh sounds ignorant every time she opens her mouth about the EPA. Pelpuo just talks nonsense. The EPA is a horrible pact. Just stay away from it.

Again,What is the reason and the meaning of the Clause that, tariffs would be increased on the Sub region,if the agreement is not signed by the deadline.ECOWAS should not be carried away by those threats !
As I have said several times, one of the Economic and Financial Pillars in export and import is the BALANCE OF PAYMENT.
That is the most important thing to be considered before Ghana decides to Sign or otherwise.

How can something to good for a country written by other country far away from you. Its time africa writes the agreements not EU. In the 2000 this very agreement about trade was sign. What is the differents and why are they not tell us. You cant sell something nobody has ever seen. How stupid do the EU thinks africans are. They what africans to sign a plain sheet so they can put and take at anytime. If you dont like it you pull out is not the answer and it sound foolish. Why should anybody go into something they are not sure it will work.
Ghana will only sign thing they know it will work for five years and more.
Ghana should sign until the agreement is laid on the table for everybody to see. If this agreement had any good in it the information about it should have been coming of ECOWAS not single countries in africa.
The west and EU had their share of africa and should move on and not try to creep their way back to africa because if the Chinese trades with africa.
John Mahama and Hannah thinks the same about ghana, good ideas only for investers.
Why should any country be asking for private foreign investers to invest in their country and go out telling people to buy made in ghana. Made in ghana who? foreign people.
We can also invest in ghana if the know what they are doing. NDC and John Mahama are lost in transilation. The book and the mouth lied to them.
You dont ask people to come and take from your people, you give your people yhe money to do the same thing. John Mahama is confuse, buy locally it doesnt matter how it gets there. shame. STOP foreigner taking our country. Get Us jobs and create jobs.

first law of economics is supply and demand , second is never produce anything if there is no market for it . we have the market so we can industrialize sooner or later , hand it over freely to the Europeans no matter how well packaged and the future of our children are doomed. i dont see the Europeans offering the other benefits such as the freedom of movement and insisting on visa free entry into their countries. they are not offering half a trillion for infrastructural development and real assistance in bettering the standard of the people of west Africa . this is a war that will destroy any chances of self reliance and self development . see what they have done to our poultry , fish and beef industry . until we have people who understand the issues and the true hidden agendas and dangers of such a one sided agreement where the benefits are only for the Europeans we should not engage in any such devastating experiments . EPA is being pushed now because they are aware pepeni is an illigimate president , even now the video of the murder of atta mills is being circulted in private circles and one day soon he will be overthrown so he is rushing to put another yoke and burden on the people of Akan. this govt can only borrow and can not even secure investments of 30 billion dollars how do they expect to handle a multitrillion agreement which in reality denies your own people the right to develop their own industry. our industrial base is less than 3% by the way. lets not allow this foolishness to pass ,

The next version would be released in December 2015.
