Suspected Boko Haram sect members.
Ibadan - The Chief Imam of Lead City University, Ibadan, Abdulrahman Muhammed-Liawal, on Sunday urged the media to stop referring to the Boko Haram sect as an Islamic group.

Muhammed-Liawal made the plea in Ibadan at a programme organised by the Muslim community of Radio Nigeria, Ibadan, with the theme: " Islam and the Media."

The cleric, who noted that the activities of the sect were completely anti-Islam, said:

"Islam is not a religion that encourages force but rather a religion of peace and equity.

"The attitude of Boko Haram contradicts the teachings of Islam; the judgment in Islam for anybody that kills his fellow being is death.

" Anybody that understands this principle will not kill his fellow being."

He also advised the media to always confirm their information before reportage in order not to mislead the public.

Muhammed-Liawal, who observed that the best means of informing the people about Islam was through the media, advised well-meaning Muslims to sponsor Islamic programmes during the forthcoming Ramadan. (NAN)

We want a country where all have equal opportunity , guaranteed justice and freedom , any leader without the courage and integrity to ensure this is not our choice and we shall eventually make war on all such fake impostors who sell us short . On the football field,we need fairly young people to play(it requires only the ability to kick the ball good) and because the nature of the game requires running etc,therefore,it maybe dangerous for an elderly person to play for the obvious reasons of health.One may also asked himself ,the reason a 14yrs old who has exhibited on the field to be a future football Star,is not immediately drafted to play in the Senior team ?.
In leadership,a Country needs to have a more experienced person with a cross section of ideas or knowledge(not academic degree), plans etc etc etc who can lead his/her people to the promised land.
For example.Rawlings was very young when he forcibly became the leader of the Country.
At the time,the mutineers said people who are 40 years and above should be killed. That is only one of the Senseless ideologies of what a inexperienced young persons who doesn't know how the world is,and limited to what goes on in their minds could decide.
What do we See after he imposed himself on his people for more than 19 years continually.
Again,What is the performance of these Straight from School Kids Deputy Ministers,
devoid of any work experience recruited by the late Atta Mess apart from propaganda,and
some of them Spewing nonsensical all the time.
The present leadership,Mahama brands himself on being a post independence young man ! What do we see ?. A young man who has no plans for the Country and bereft of ideas and therefore,only anticipate to move the Country from 1st to 4th gear.But ended up calling for ideas recently on how to resolve the Economic and Financial problems of the Country !
However,any young person who exhibit plans,ideas etc etc as I have observed in the person of CPP's Samia Nkrumah is more than
qualified to lead.
So,please don't let us Deceive ourselves or be carried away by the word young and PhD's.

It should be sufficiently clear to all Ghanaians that Akufo Addo is a failed polititian. He specializes in failure. Any vote for Akufo Addo is a vote for failure. Why would any thinking Ghanaian vote for failure?

Relatively, in the larger scope of Ghana as a whole, Alan Kyeremanteng has a much better chance than the "all-die-be-die" sick, dwarfish old man.

There are currently no sanctions against those who choose to attack, insult and use derogatory language against any candidate or aspirant who dares to compete against their preferred candidate, in particular NADAA.

There is absolutely no respect on the airwaves. Do they think they are in a boxing ring? Some have a diabolical agenda to intimidate, harass and bully without regard for the circumstances. In the end, it will be a close contest. Nana and Alan should speak to their cronies.

Some of the media presenters love the banter. They claim it increases their listeners. Some actually contribute money towards unscrupulous talk shows. Some such as Sources Radio UK actively encourage the insults and negative propaganda regardless of the damage and anger that it is causing. He thinks he is helping Ghana. He is rather causing chaos and going against all ethics in professional journalism. Some think by insulting all the other candidates, they will back down and let NADAA sail through unopposed. These tactics will only lead to tit-for-tat verbal diarrhoea. There are no ground rules.

Stinging attacks from the "No Nana No vote" faction has divided the party. Voter harassment and intimidation did not work during the congress in Tamale. At this rate, if the candidates do not tackle this, whoever wins the flagbearership may have a battle uniting the party after the contest which could have an adverse effect, come Election 2016. This intolerance and new breed of negative campaigning may cost votes.
