It is really the wish of every Ghanaian for our national team to win the world cup. It can be achieved but very daunting indeed. There are many factors that play against us, major is that Ghana is a ‘’Third World’’ country, if there is anything like that.
We need to work above ourselves and all the other countries especially those known to be football nations. It is really a big task to achieve this feat. The question then is that have we done that. I have my doubt.
Talking about our preparation, I cannot vouch for our technical and tactical ability. We may have the individual talents but it is doubtful whether we can harness these individual talents as a team to fight any opposition. After all football is a team game and depend to a large extent on team work. This is where we have been lacking. We have always relied on our individual talents to the neglect of team work, technical and tactical abilities. The absence of these has always deprived us the ultimate in many major competitions.
The president’s call on the national team to do their best and win the cup is really welcomed and motivational. But without the things mentioned above as lacking, we cannot realise the ultimate. Brazil realised at a time that reliance on individual talents cannot guarantee them success so they changed their approach to the game. Today if Brazil loose the ball, they chase their opponents for it because they have come to understand that if your opponent keeps the ball, they deprive you of goals and also make it possible for them to score against you. Ghana looses the ball so cheekily and are unable to keep the ball to themselves. The reason is that we don’t create spaces for receiving the ball from our team mates so a player has no alternative than to keep the ball to himself until he loses it.
I hope as we go into this competition we will identify our limitations as far as the game is concerned. This is the only guarantee for the country to make great impact in the world cup. A country like Kenya can pin us down because they know how to hold on to the b

There are so many signs of God's anger against the current leaders of Ghana. Disaster follows them wherever they go, and everything they touch turns into dust instead of gold. That is why I fear the dream may only remain a dream is spite of the very good team we have for this World Cup. A very good team, but because our leaders have sinned, God's hands are not on us.
