  With less than a year to go for achieving the United Nations Millenium Development Goals will some one tell us how we have fared so far??
  
  We must achieve environmental sustainability. With reports of whales and many dead fishes being washed ashore what tests has the Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana done to ensure that marine food is safe for consumption.
  
  Small scale miners must be educated on land reclamation and reafforestation of degraded lands.

  Maybe,trawler fisherman should "specialize" in specific fisheries..is large pelagic species.
  Then the Artisanal fishermen can fish "the low value" species,the trawler fleets deem "by- catch"

  Maybe,trawler fisherman should "specialize" in specific fisheries..is large pelagic species.
  Then the Artisanal fishermen can fish "the low value" species,the trawler fleets deem "by- catch"
  More importantly all catches should be landed on Ghanaian ports or landing sites for tax and collation purposes, and for the creation of a Fish Market/ Auction to encourage trade and processing opportunities.

  Just focus on tax revenue not stop arresting hardworkers. If u have an issue, go after the Chinese trailers for fishing in intl. waters.
