Where were these sycophants when that happened? PV Obeng was an enabler of the AFRC/P-NDC during all that time. He did not raise an objection. Give us a break.

The Daily Guide has done no wrong. Armed robbers and accident victims have had their pictures displayed all the time, these charlatans did not object, give us a break. In life one could inadvertently make a mistake, and it is a hallmark of maturation when one takes note of his shortfalls and accepts them. Yes, Daily Guide could have meant well, but if the intended purpose goes awry, all,that one needs to do is to show solid remorse and even apologize.

What Daily Guide is doing is to show crass insensitivity and downright foolish attitude. The tenor of their publication is terribly bad and the least said about the insults, the better. But one thing is clear, if we had the situation where a mad person could appreciate that his behaviour has gone beyond the bend, then there would not have been mad persons at all. DailyGuide is showing arrant incurable madness and we should see them as such.

Given that statement, Daily Guide that I personally consider to be one of the finest Newspapers to publish the TRUTH in the country would surely be so remorseful to accommodate the Ghanaian public by issuing an apology if they know they had done something wrong.

On the contrary, they have simply notched further to ridicule the Media Houses of Ghana by condemning them for their actions.

Now from my personal perspective, did any of those Media Outlets that are trying to outwit or ridicule Daily Guide ever try to inform the Good Taxpayers of Ghana as to what culminated the DEATH OF THE LATE PRESIDENT ATTA MILLS???

The Article from Daily Guide is a sure indicative that they are within their RIGHTS to publish those pictures whether PV Obeng died from VIAGRA-SEX action or NOT.

The Daily Guide, from my point of view, MUST NOT APPEASE people like yourself who think PV Obeng deserved some privacy when our whole President was NOT WORTH the investigations as to the cause of his DEATH.

In this scenario, please tell us who is being arrant; as you stated.

Such gutter journalism does not happen in civilised societies. Daily Guide did not need to publish the photo of PV's dead body to convey whatever they wanted to. Yes, the circumstances leading to his sudden death and the fact that he was taken to hospital in a taxi, say a lot about the Ghanaian health service and the care for Ghanaians in general. I believe that is what the Daily Guide wanted to convey. That could have been said without the photo of the body. Their insulting defence is very sad and empty. It's pure arrogance.

Is it the first time that a picture of dead body has been captured in any publication? What about those grotesque pictures of accident scenes that are frequently featured on our public tvs and media which sometimes show victims laying prostate in their nakedness? It is evident tthe author of this piece, and for that matter the editors who allowed publication, are examples of the functionally illiterate twits our schools turn out these days. If not they would have been deeply remorseful to the nation's media regulators for publishing such an unecessarily graphic image that not only offends the minimum standard of common decency (if they have a clue of what that is), but was clearly not needed to prove the fact of its subject's unfortunate demise. The reasoning in the defence is weak and has endemic seismic fallacies in it. Would Gina Blay accept the picture of her dead husband published in the media in future or would Mr Blay accept a picture of the dead body of his wife published in the media in future?
Daily Guide has not been the first or the only one to be doing this. The state owned media even do that displaying pictures of dead bodies of accident victims in their publications. I wonder what goes into that unethical behaviour. But as all this happened, nobody raised an issue because the persons involved were not high profile politicians. That is Nkrumah's Ghana!

This paper called "The Daily Guide" has really developed the tough skin of stubbornness and disrespect towards all who do not share in their GUTTER STYLE OF JOURNALISM.

You have committed an act which was contrary to the ethics and norms accepted in the field of journalism.The honourable thing a responsible media house should have done was to render an unqualified apology to all those whose sensibilities have been hurt by that publication.

But not the Daily Guide newspaper, which is more or less a mouth-piece of the NPP.They have thrown caution to the wind,casting invectives at all those who expressed disquiet at this unprofessional behaviour.

This kind of actions and in-actions of people and institutions which have something to do with the NPP is rather repulsing than attracting people to the NPP's fold.

If things continue this way,NPP would continue to see the POLITICAL CANAAN but their POLITICAL FEET would never step there.
