  This is what happens when Zoning laws are circumvented for the sake of 10%. Every where you go, the few with money, seem to bribe their way to do as they please, build where they want & not care the impact of their actions on the neighborhood. Had preceding folks done that would the area have been considered suitable for their projects???

  If I were the manager or owner of this hospital, I would sue the owners of the filling station for the tort of nuisance. I am a lawyer and I am cocksure that the law on nuisance does not allow a person to do something on his land that would prevent his neighbour from also enjoying the use of his adjoining land.
  
  Alternatively, the owners of the Family Health Hospital can also seek the assistance of the Attorney-General to bring an action for public nuisance against the owners of the Filling Station.
  
  In either case, the officers of the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, Town and Country Planning, EPA, NPA, LEKMA and a host of other experts will then be called as witnesses for the plaintiff (i.e. Family Health Hospital).
  
  My sister attends this hospital for antenatal services and I am concerned for her safety so I wish the Family Health Hospital good luck in its fight against these uncaring businessmen.

It looks like the authorities are just playing around the issue. Somebody must be held responsible. We need to start holding responsible for certain actions before the country becomes useless us.

  The ability of organic chemicals to cause health effects varies greatly from those that are highly toxic,to those with no known health effects.As with other pollutants,the extent of the health effect will depend on many factors including level of exposure and length of time exposed.But because the concentrations are usually low and the symptoms slow to develop,research into VOCs and their effects is difficult.
