Baako is Very Wrong on this one. The mere fact that Alans claim became news worthy, caught media attention and hit the headlines, and has since generated a general public debate, it means a target has been hit regardless of where and who he was addressing. What matters here, and the point, is, was he able to convincingly delineate the reasons why he appeals to floating voters more than anyone as he claimed.

In my opinion there's NOTHING "useless" about the analysis put there by Kweku Baako. By all means bring your own opinion by either agreeing, or disagreeing with somebody, but take the insults out. What insult does is, it discourages productive arguments that can move us forward.

Do not let us learn from President John Mahama who insults at any comment that is unfavourable to his thinking, but be broad minded, accept and bow to superior reasoning.
As for Allan Kyeremateng, he is a joker. NPP would rather have a stable flagbearer than an unstable character like Allan Cash. He deserted the party in 2008, why does he not stay out.
Allan must know that if even Nana Akufo Addo decides not to go on, NPP delegates WILL NEVER EVER VOTE for him, (Kyerematen). He damaged the party in no small way in 2008 - we thank him, and say goodbye to him.

NPP gurus hot over ‘Le Baron’ cocaine saga
The April 26, 2014 drug bust at Heathrow Airport of David Kojo Anim - the owner of Le Baron Hotel at East Legon in Accra -, has uncovered his curiously strong connection with the opposition New Patriotic Party and some of its key stalwarts.
Investigations by the Republic newspaper revealed that apparently, David Anim, described by the London Metropolitan Police as the leader of a global drug cartel, was particularly close to the top hierarchy of the NPP, including Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the party’s Presidential candidate for the 2012; party financier and MP for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong, the party’s former National Chairman, Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey, former Attorney General, Ayikoi Otoo, among others.
These people are said to have regularly held meetings at the Le Baron Hotel prior to the 2012 elections.
Ken Agyapong is quoted as saying that Mr. Anim donated thousands of motorbikes to help in the NPP’s 2012 campaign. The motorbikes customized with the label ‘Le Baron’ generated serious controversies after the NPP lost the elections when Ken Agyapong accused party Chairman and his ‘boys’ of diverting the bikes for their personal use.
The owner of Le Baron is also alleged to have donated up to US$2 million towards the NPP’s 2012 campaign.
David Anim, tie with the NPP even goes further higher; his business partner-one Joseph Nwabuaze-, a Nigerian drug baron linked to the 2006-2007 cocaine haul of the infamous MV Benjamin, was said to have been dating the then President John Agyakum Kufour’s ‘daughter’, Nana
Mr. Nwabuaze’s drug trial that year- with Ayikoi Otoo as the Attorney General-, collapsed, allegedly because of the former’s connection with the then First Family.
David Anim and Mr. Nwabuaze, were said to have used their dealership in an energy drink called Rhino Energy Drink to front their drug trade which was flourishing under the NPP administration. The web of connection between the NPP and David Anim gets even more intriguing, considering the fact that he was a tight friend of the party’s new General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong when they were teenagers until recently, when they had a feud over a vehicle allegedly acquired for the latter some few years ago.
The NPP and some of its members have been linked with illicit drug usage and trade in the past, with incidence such as the busting of one of its sitting MPs-Joseph Amoateng who was trying to spirit drugs into the USA and the alleged busting of Akufo Addo at the Heathrow Airport for possessing some quantities of Marijuana believed to be his personal cache.
It has been alleged that the NPP’s close association with drug kingpins makes it imperative that many of its presidential campaigns have depended heavily on drug cash.
David Anim who is believed to have financed the NPP in several ways, is said to have been personally introduced to the party several years ago by Kennedy Agyapong, who has been under widespread suspicion of dealing in drugs. He had denied any drug dealing. “It is just his associations that are bad,” a source close to Mr. Agyapong told the Republic newspaper. “He has a Green Card, if he was [dealing in drugs], the CIA would have picked him up a long time ago,” the source stated. The source-preferring anonymity-, however conceded that one of Kennedy Agyapong’s sisters and a brother-in-law who owns a string of fuel stations, were ‘hardcore’ drug dealers.
The Republic newspaper has not been able to reach Mr. Agyapong who is currently on a sojourn in the United States.
Over the weekend, The Herald newspaper broke the news of David Anim’s arrest for alleged drug trafficking and money laundering.
Anim was described by the security agencies as the leader within the drug trafficking organisation responsible for coordinating the transportation of large quantities of cocaine and heroin around the world.
He is also alleged to have serious ties with major drug gangs in Europe, South America and the United States of America.
The two suspects were said to have delivered 500 kilo grammes of heroin to undercover drug enforcement officials on January 22, 2014 without any incident.
According to the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), Nii Lante Blankson, his arrest was in pursuant to a provisional arrest warrant issued by the United States for the arrest of the two Ghanaians and a Nigerian.
He said Anim had been able to escape arrest until April 26, 2014 when he was busted at the Heathrow Airport while going through arrival formalities.
The suspects in David Anim’s drug gang are expected to be extradited from the United Kingdom to the Unites States to face trial.

I had always thought it was foolish of him to embark on his campaign for the flagbearership in the diaspora, instead of convincing the local Delegates what he intended to do, plus his achievements as the Minister for the Presidential Initiatives.
I did think seriously sometime ago about asking him to avail himself in one of the Constituencies in the Ashanti Region as a Candidate just to test his popularity before deciding on the Flagbearer Idea.
Let's face it Alan hasn't got a DOG SHOW of becoming elected as a flagbearer of the NPP. Not with all the teas in China!!!
I would expect some first time challengers to the position to challenge Allan to QUIT that impossible dream of his, should he be defeated by Nana Akufo-Addo for the third time; which would be the case anyway.
His performance as the Minister for the Presidential Initiatives was an absolute abysmal. To the extent that I wouldn't contemplate a come back if I were him.
All that he is trying to do is to create a division within the Party through our Democratic Principles.
Nana should NOT make any compromise to him when he Alan loses, which is quite obvious.

Kwaku darko is a big disgrace to a panel discussion. Alan Kyeremanteng is using the floating voters as an appropriate system to convince the delegates that he can attract them more than any NPP aspirant presidential candidates. What is wrong with that? And it is very true he can attract more floating voters if the delegates will give him the mandate. Alan's campaign about the floating voters is the best ever. Am wondering how Kwaku Darko wants an aspirant presidential candidate to campaign without telling them what he can do for the party after the delegates' conference.

Let Alan dare, this time he will not even, take the second place in the primaries. He will come last. He was
so soured to the bone when defeated, so he chose to seat on the fence without helping in the party's nation-wide campaign, hence our bitter loses to the NDC. This Allan man is so selfish that, he did no even, consider that Nana Addo's failure is also a defeat of the NPP, and Ghana as a whole. We are therefore ready to pay him back with his own coin for

NPP members all over the country has already decided who they are going to elect to be the flagbearer for the party.
NDC members and delegates are not stupid to wait for six months to decide who should be the flag bearer.
NPP delegates are elected because they and the members of NPP have decided and agreed who should lead the party far before they (delegates) are elected to represent them.
Nana Addo is who all from grassroots to the national executives of NPP is model on. We NPP has a book that Nana Addo promised to keep and react on his promise if elected as president. The book is call NPP menifesto which covers what NPP stands for.

If you believe, like I do, that it was rigged, then of what consequence is the role of FLOATING VOTERS?
Kyerematen and his ilk didn't support the legitimate right of the NPP to contest the legality of Mahama's victory in the Supreme Coirt. They were happy that nana Akufo Addo didn't win. Period. They are merely camouflaging their collaboration with the NDC with high-faluting talk about floating voters. Why not SINKING voters too?

Who is Alan and which constituency does he represent? Where is his political base? Let him tell us before he thinks of even asking to be a flagbearer. He thinks Nana lost two times for the presidency and lost and as such he should not be offered again. He should also understand that he lost two times contesting Nana and if he believes in that, then he too should not contest for the third time.

There is nothing wrong with having a vision. Alan has the vision that whoever is the flag bearer and cannot win floating voters will end up being a loser for the party. Very simple. let us be realistic in our strategies.
