  The Okyehene should please refrain from speaking like a commoner who engages in pedestrian thoughts and anysis! Teachers in public schools are better paid than their counterparts in private institutions yet the output of the latter is claimed to be much more than the former. So the issue is not about salaries but rather something else which His Majesty the Okyehene should please find out. Osagyefour should kindly learn from the Asantehene whose speeches always break new grounds in moving the State ahead.

  Seidu, u will do yourself good & enrich your discerning thoughts on current socio-economic matters in Ghana, if you realise that the 60s & 70s aren't the same as the current times when conditions keep on deteriorating at a fast pace,for the average Ghanaian, especially the poorly impoverished teachers. So stop making that blind comparison times of 60s & 70s and now. There are times when strikes are justifiably, if u care to realise.

  Nana, are you saying that teachers in private schools receive higher salary than teachers in government schools? Please undertake your own research and you will be surprised that teachers in government schools take higher salaries than those in private schools. But why then are private schools doing better than government schools as you do know? Please don't talk about salaries at all!!! Most private school teachers are not trained yet they perform better than those trained teachers in government schools. Nana kindly ascertain why their poor performance and don't talk about salaries.

  Nana Motia Ofori Panin can take the lead by paying the poor teachers within his reign at Kyebi from revenue derived from his 'galamsey' money. It is a shame some of our leaders talk loosely and unintelligently.
