i dont see the Europeans offering the other benefits such as the freedom of movement and insisting on visa free entry into their countries. they are not offering half a trillion for infrastructural development and real assistance in bettering the standard of the people of west Africa . this is a war that will destroy any chances of self reliance and self development . see what they have done to our poultry , fish and beef industry . until we have people who understand the issues and the true hidden agendas and dangers of such a one sided agreement where the benefits are only for the Europeans we should not engage in any such devastating experiments . EPA is being pushed now because they are aware pepeni is an illigimate president , even now the video of the murder of atta mills is being circulted in private circles and one day soon he will be overthrown so he is rushing to put another yoke and burden on the people of Akan. this govt can only borrow and can not even secure investments of 30 billion dollars how do they expect to handle a multitrillion agreement which in reality denies your own people the right to develop their own industry. our industrial base is less than 3% by the way. lets not allow this foolishness to pass , its time for a revolution so we restart the future for our children. we shall never surrender

Honorable Minister, the French countries have nothing to lose from this EPA agreement. Is there anything, and I mean ANYTHING, in any of the French countries that France, and for that matter EU, cannot get even without the EPA? There has always been an EPA-type agreement between France and the Francophone countries. Now, can anyone honestly claim that the Francophone countries are better than the other ECOWAS countries?
Actually, Ghana and Nigeria are far better politically, economically, fiscally, socially and in many other areas than any of the Francophone countries. Those who think the EPA will bring development, industrialization, and other improvements should look at how much the Francophone countries have gained from France and Europe. EU is going through a very challenging economic situation, so why is the ECOWAS relying on them for their economic salvation? What economic development project is so important that the soul of the country should be sacrificed for?
What the honorable minister should keep in his mind is that he should not arrogate to himself the decision to, or not to, sign the EPA. This is a national prorogative. What would the discussion be if our fore-fathers had signed a similar agreement? This agreement is just brainless. If the EU truly believe in fair trade, they would not have promoted this agreement. The drafting of this agreement shows complete lack of respect for ECOWAS countries. Do not sign this agreement. There are alternatives to the EU markets. Do not panic. Ghana and ECOWAS will be okay wthout the EPA.

Just don't sign it, period! No point doing "assessment" or reassessment. The agreement is not in Ghana's favour now, tomorrow or ever.

We need to embark on a excessive strategic and economic analysis to derive conclusions profitable to our economy.
EU is getting more aggressive into generating funds to support their own development and also empower the youth, that we need not to make any stupid mistake that will yet again make use their mainland for their success.
Anti-Europe parties are now the dominance of the European parliaments this as a result is forcing member state leaders to strategically re-think ways to avoid pushing their tax payers money into the EU coffers.
Now you tell me where will the EU be looking to generate most of their budget capital? ECOWAS.
Do not make the mistake Mr. Minister.
