poverty in today's day and age is man made and in our case caused by successive mismanaging govts that only think of themselves and not the welfare of the people . they think if the people get poorer they will be easier to manage and too weak to fight back , be it for their rights of a decent life or other basic human rights as outlined in the Convention of Human rights . poverty leads to ignorance and a never ending vicious cycle is in place to make sure our people never prosper . Yet these anti-society people are struggling hard for Nana to come for them to finish stealing what Prof and JM have been able to salvage for us. It's a shame that men commenting on the plight of these girls have never had a single period in their lives but then feel they have the authority to discredit the writer and the statistics that come with it. Did you ever talk to any of the girls in SSS about their periods? How do you know they were fine? They might have missed school and you didn't even know it. How much schooling did your mom have, if I may know. Some menstrual cramps are so severe they can be debilitating. This may cause some girl to miss so much school and decide to drop out because they cannot catch up.
Please Americano, if you have nothing supportive to say, don't disparage these girls.

Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.

Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, basic agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

Hey guys, please do not condemn this article. It is factual! Every lady would want to to feel confident about herself and especially when among her colleagues and in when public.
Many ladies bleed profusely for days and need to "change themselves' a few times during the menstrual day. I know for sure that school girls of menstrual age do miss classes especially for the first day of menstruation due to heavy bleeding (except for weekends of course).
Being a publish health and hygiene expert I fitted the KVIP toilet on my property with handwawh sinks so people would use after attending nature's call.
I have also realized that the KVIP toilets attached the the new public schools block in my town does not have sinks and I have a plan to install at least two sinks in this toilet facility for the school for free!!!.
Like stated in this article, provision of these sinks would go a very long way to improve personal hygiene for all students (boys, girls, and even their teachers) especially those young females, during their menstrual period. A great article and a great subject for all to think about.
Friends/readers, you can also play your part by donating simple things like handwash sinks to your village school to improve hygiene and keep your young female students at school regularly.
