The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.

Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.

Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.

Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, basic agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

This is were the sub-intelligence of us Ghanaians show, because we but into these political and ethnic. circus.

Huge differences in wealth and education rip countries apart more than any losses in industrial revenue (see e.g. in Nigeria, where the developmental division between North and South is similar to Ghana -> that made "Boko Haram" possible there. In Ghana in the North tribal warfare ala "Nakpanduri" is still possible due to educational ignorance and poverty (many people especially in the North are still living in the Dark Ages - Stone Age of tribalism. The plundering of trees (Deforestation) in the North of Ghana, that will result in Desertification and thus masses of refugees and criminals fleeing to the South is made possible only by the poverty and ignorance there - the resulting mass-migration to the South would disrupt the South more than industrial losses )
