Most Ghanaians don't apply hand brake when they are stationery. Most of them prefer engaging the first gear.
Mechanic must learn from this drastic mistake.
It is not for any reason that trucks carry chucks with them. Next time use one before you attempt repairing a truck. RIP!

Common sense requires all brake systems and safeguards are in place before a mechanic begins work. People are too laid back and ignorant.
The deceased acted foolishly and carelessly and consequently paid dearly for it,however it is the general practice nationwide but no lesson as usual will be drawn from this calamity
