If president Kufuor did nothing at all, he took a loan and used it to expanded the gutter at Alajo which was one of the worst horrible flood areas in Accra. Today residents in Alajo can sleep peacefully during the rainy season. Stop these useless tours of going to pretend to sympathise with the victims of the flood when you are the very one responsible for ensuring that the right thing is done to avoid such occurances but fail to do so.

Canalisation of the Odaw through to Fadaman ( current Sodom & Gomora)into the Korle Lagoon and an open system to the sea is the solution. This plan was initiated by the CPP under Nkrumah in the 7 years Ghana Development Plan, and was to be executed by the State Construction Corporation.(SCC) 6 months before work should have began,(after the rainy season)the CPP with their leader Nkrumah was ousted in a bloody coup. Over 40 years along the line, the problem still exists. The forward ever backward never slogan by the CPP under Nkrumah has become meaningless, all because of greedy, selfish and corrupt elements within mother Ghana. THE MATIMIHUS.

The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.
Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, basic agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.
