This is the greatest tragedy and the reason why the country can never develop, as long as the undercurrent of all political activity is the hatred and exclusion of everything Akan there can never be true unity and peace of mind . We now have generations of youth in absolute poverty who will never know what a job that can sustain a family is , brainwashed into thinking the perverse lies of this ndc are the right moral standards of the day, yes buga buga tactics designed to break the spirit of a free nation . They say we are only angry but the fact remains this was a tribal war still continuing against the Akans , you will never hear JJ mention the corrupt EWE such as woyome , segbefia and tsikata but rather any Ashanti public or private is the enemy and criminal and his follows will add drug barons . First of all the events of May and June 1979 all come out of the political agitation of the prior 3 year against the Achaempong led NRC/SMC1 that culminated in the 1978 referendum NO VOTE against UNIGOV. That mass action by citizens was spearheaded by a coalition of CPP and UGCC/UP/PP politicians of whom Nana Akuffo-Addo is the most prominent living survivor.

Boakye Gyan and Rawlings forgets that there are some of us who were old enough, educated enough and discerning enough to have participated in that struggle who are still alive.

Stupid misleading statement such as those being made by Boakye Gyan, Rawling and their elk, are insulting to the intellect and character of the good people of our beloved Ghana.

Let me reiterate, THERE WAS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR MAY 15, 1979, JUNE 4, 1979 or DECEMBER 31, 1981. All this case Ghana was way down the road to a democratic dispensation or were already in the democratic dispensation. All their selfish and murderous coups did was deprive the Ghanaian citizen of his inalienable right to self determination and that fact is indisputable.

They were not actually executed because of any corruption as some people always want us to believe. Afrifa for instance left gov't years ago but was also executed.There was also this issue of discontentment of the junior officers of the Ghana Armed Forces towards their senior officers and that led to the execution of Air Vice Marshall Yaw Boakye for instance who was not a known member of both SMC I and SMC II.

The soldiers should relegate to themselves the sole aim of defending the country against external aggression.They should leave the politicians to complete their terms of office as prescribed by the constitution regardless of how they run the government.After their terms in office if anyone should be found to have committed any crime against Ghana,law enforcement will deal with them.
