Let us not be fooled into ignoring the true motives and intentions of JJ's so called uprisings as the truth is evident upon reflection with wisdom and a just heart. It was nothing but a dubious plan and insidious agenda motivated by tribalism and hatred of the Akans . This is the greatest tragedy and the reason why the country can never develop, as long as the undercurrent of all political activity is the hatred and exclusion of everything Akan there can never be true unity and peace of mind . We now have generations of youth in absolute poverty who will never know what a job that can sustain a family is , brainwashed into thinking the perverse lies of this ndc are the right moral standards of the day, yes buga buga tactics designed to break the spirit of a free nation . They say we are only angry but the fact remains this was a tribal war still continuing against the Akans , you will never hear JJ mention the corrupt EWE such as woyome , segbefia and tsikata but rather any Ashanti public or private is the enemy and criminal and his follows will add drug barons . He will never see the evil corruption of his allies in this backstrabbing war against the Akans the northerners and other minorities such as the Gas. Without proof or the need to respect the law and human rights of the accused he will judge and execute innocent Akans into jail or death , even his long time traitor friend Mills was not good enough because he was Fanti and therefore not motivated enough to hate his brothers the Ashantis or npp. Forbes has put the mahamas in the list of being one of the most corrupt family in the country and Africa but JJ and the NDC are blind to this fact and obviously have succeeded in bribing our so called opposition NPP into compliance of the ongoing crimes . JJ , WHERE IS YOUR COUP NOW IN SWEEPING AWAY THIS CORRUPT GOVT ,is it because its now your ayigbe and pepeni who are now the one's stealing ?

Who really cares about who from the NDC's own camp eyes Mahama's seat. The P(NDC) political entity since it's formation as a riff-raff militaristic bunch of malcontents and clueless and vision less vagabonds hellbent on exacting and satisfying their kleptocratic hunger on monstrous proportions have never exhibited any competence and ability to transform the country for the better. They never exhibited the mental ability, foresight, knowledge and vision in the 80's, 90's and have not demonstrated same in the 2000's. This is not going to change by any stretch.
The only way out of such crass mismanagement, incompetence, corruption and downright cluelessness is to massively send the Mahama led NDC govt packing.

Ewi Botchwey will someday sooner than later stand trial for his crimes of corruption and financial loss to the state. This fraud of a Finance Minister is responsible for the wholesale destruction of Ghana's industrial base. The corrupt criminal systematic sale at giveaway prices of national assets to cronies at home and abroad that robbed hundreds of thousands of their source of employment should alone earn him life imprisonment. Botchwey's fraudulent divestment of state enterprises is the cause of widespread unemployment. He apparently did very well personally with his privatization scam at the behest of the IMF/WB, his net worth being place at $300 million. Yet Botchwey created not a single private job - not even one for himself. He has been feeding off the state his entire career span in Ghana.

The day is not far off when he will proceed to enjoy his ill-gotten hundreds of millions in hell!

Any credible person in the NDC can take his place provided he or she is accepted.
Dr. Botchwey is a man of great respect with plenty of economic brain and is speaking the truth about the state of the economy.

I had heard of Dr. Botchwey for a long time as the longest reigning Minister of Finance for Ghana, but if Dr. Botchwey didn't hold any formal training or major degree as an Economist or Accountant, but was strictly a professional Lawyer, I find it a little troubling why Rawlings kept him that long in that crucial but technical position.

I think Rawlings is to blame for Ghana's economic woes, because as a novice in Economics, Rawlings should have found a professional economist to replace Dr. Botchwey within six years of his reign.
