It seems like the ghost of Kwame Nkrumah is haunting these people. They dared celebrate Ghana @ 50, and made a lot of money out of it. Look at Charles Wirreko-Brobbey. He has no respect in the party. Check how the celebration fell exactly at the time they were in power. They tried to help kill a man who was not stealing our money, but rather fighting for a cause which has somehow benefited us. I am using somehow, because J J Rawlings, kufuor, and currently John Mahama have made the independence to look like a joke.

On reconstituting the NEC. I understand most members resisted attempts by the Chairman and General Secretary to "have their own way". I also understand the manner it was introduced and attempt to force it through was unconstitutional. The fact that it resulted in a heated debate showed that the actions by the Chairman and General Secretary weren't welcomed. I am not sure whether it was on the Agenda. I read that the General Secretary "ordered" the head of Finance for the Party to vacate the post which was claimed by the affected person as unconstitutional.Members of the Party know or suspect where the sympathy of the holders of the 2 top posts lay wrt the flagbearer contestants.It will be better for their actions to be seen to be above board.They have a huge task and I wish them success.

The suspicion that some top people in the 2000-2008 government have formed a block and are subtly working for particular people is not healthy for the Party. I have read comments by some of them which could be interpreted as personal attacks on a particular flagbearer contestant. -it is a plea that statements in the media that create divison must be avoided at all costs for the sake of unity.

Do you realize that this division in the party was deepened by Nana Addo and his cronies in the party. He bought the mandate of the previous executives and they built the party around him as if he was the only one who founded the party. I think Nana has paid his dues to the NPP and he must step aside for fresh ones to hold the mantle. His insatiable desire to control the party and become President is hurting the party and the earlier we realize that the better. That is why they are overly suspicious of Afoko's administration because Nana's camp believe Kwabena and Afoko are principled and would not allow on person to hijack the party. That is why the ugly noises have dramatically reduced.

Nana is not the only qualified member of the NPP to lead.

I am personally surprised at the happenings in the npp. this attests to the fact that names have meanings. if you chose to use the elephant as your symbol and icon what do you expect to happen? no wonder they are behaving the way the elephants behave when high on palm wine. they stampede anything that come their way like the way elephants destroy crops on farms. their supporters in Kumasi behave perfectly the elephants behave when they embarked on 'ya ye wuden' demonstration in Kumasi yesterday. there is no difference between the elephants and termites-VERY DESTRUCTIVE AND IRRESPONSIBLE!
