  THE LEADER OF THE COUNTRY SHOULD SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THE REST TO FOLLOW; GET OUR MONIES BACK FROM WOYOME, WATERVILLE, GYEEDA, SUBAH, ISOFOTON, AKONFEM AND OTHERS; BEEN SEEN TO BE ENFORCING THE LAWS OF GHANA AND NOT PAY LIP SERVICE.
  LOOK AT THE SUFFERING OF OUR PEOPLE WHOSE HOMES HAVE BEEN WRECKED BY FLOODS DUE TO GALAMSEY OPERATORS HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THIS BEFORE ACTIONS ARE TAKEN ALL OVER THE COUNTRY??

  Gold --- $1400 per oz
  Diamond --- from $1500 to $150,000 per carat (Market price)
  Bauxite --- $150 per mt
  Manganese --- $450 per tonne
  
  Akyem districts make up more than half of the population of the Eastern Region.
  
  Even though today diamond production from Akyem has stopped temporarily Akyem districts must be given their fair share of projects. Discrimination against Akyems districts has been going on for at least the last forty years. A visit to the Akyem districts would indicate the poor state of districts: bad roads, poor infrastructure. The state of the districts is not reflective of the revenue they have contributed over the last 100 years.
