  I suggest, since the population is increasing at least every Region should have a Psychiatric Hospital. That is the results of smoking wee and others.

  One of the major drawbacks in this country is the haste with which we politicized crucial issues of national interest.This has paved the way for white collar criminals like Dr Akwasi Osei to invade,corrupt and plunge important public institutions like the Ghana Health Service.It is all about looting with little work being done.In my view,we have a lot of technocrats who are grossly incompetent,remarkably lazy and palpably ineffective but surprisingly occupy key positions for decades informed by the sort of dirty politics practiced in this country.This was the same chief psychiatrist a few months ago boasting of clearing streets of all mentally ill.Less than a month of his proclamation,his obvious lies were ruthlessly exposed with nurses in mental institutions demonstrating on poor conditions of service.They complain about high risk at work as a result of lack of anti-psychotics.Within a fortnight it was reported in the daily graphic of a nurse attacked by a mental patient.We are now being told of a growing population of mentally ill in Brong Ahafo Region.A lot of donor funds besides government subvention go into these institutions?Where does these monies go to?Dr Akwasi Osei actually got two doctors sacked from Ghana Health service by framing them up with a mental illness because they were opposed to criminal and corrupt acts in a certain Effia Nkwanta hospital killing patients.Highly placed greedy and corrupt civil servants of his type are the ones actually killing Ghana not necessarily the politician.Criminal technocrats of his type for a very long time hide behind the cloak of politics to mess the country up in their selfish interest.He has been in the position of Chief Psychiatrist for decades with compounding problems in mental health despite flamboyant but deceitful developments such as the Mental Health Act.This current development is an indication that the act is a phantom with an illusioned Chief Psychiatrist in delusion.Despite Ghana being blessed with very brainy technocrats important institutions like health will remain malfunctional and ineffective until we delineate and dissociate politics from civil service.Mansions are build and flushy cars bought unchecked at the expense of these poor and vunerable people.

I wont even wonder if the o called rich men in sunyani have even contracted them to murder at night for them as christmas is approaching.

  Capt.Asase Gyimah was spot on during his key note address on june 4th celebration.We need to be vigilant on some of these public officials.Unfortunately it is impossible with a government not committed to fighting corruption.The Chief Psychiatrist should not be in office.He is a classical example of anti-NDC,collapsing mental health institutions and indirectly blaming government.Dr. Clement Apak talk about sabotage but it is already in place with people like him looking on .Corruption motivated by greed is characterizing the current NDC.Long live the great revolutionary JJ Rawlings and the Cadres Front.
