  They are supposed to know better but it's a shame they have not learned anything living abroad. The Ambassador represents Ghana and not a political party.

  It's the NDC that has deepened the political and tribal divide in the country and made themselves and opportunities inaccessible to especially NPP supporters and activists. Their pettiness and vindictiveness is nothing new. Just before the World Cup took off, the Deputy Sports minister Yammin politicized even sports with his bad and ill-motivated decision to airlift NDC footsoldiers to Brazil as Black Stars supporters . He was not acting contrary to expectation but operating a typical NDC MO when he made that awful decision. Why would some ghanaians in Amsterdam boycott a meeting with the new ambassador if they are assured of his support regardless of their political colors? The NDC is for little minds because they're yet to understand that as soon as the elections are over those elected serve each one of their constituents dutifully, whether they voted for them or not. The people who absented themselves may have had a bad experience with the previous ambassador, also an NDC appointee and were not expecting anything good from notorious Tony Aidoo. I don't blame them.

  Good to hear Dr Aidoo has started well. Yes, I always believe that any representative appointed by our government must serve all Ghanaians irrespective of their political affiliations. Unfortunately, some Ghanaians see it otherwise and feel it should be in the interest of their party only. I must salute Prof. Kweku Danso-Boafo for his resilience in standing firm for the interest of the Ghanaian communities in UK. He engaged in and with the people and this is a big achievement compared to others who felt a High Commissioner and the offices must be for some elites only so they were writing letters and spewing their myopic views and opinions about Prof Kweku Danso-Boafo without consulting the views of the Ghanaian communities in UK. Good for you Dr Tony Aidoo
