I never knew Ghanaians pay taxes to NDC and not the state. NDC must be extremely rich (political) party. If this man is a Youth Leader of a political party in Ghana, no doubt Ghana is in such a mess. The politicians have no clue on the affairs of the state. Yet, these people are asking Ghanaian voters to reject NDC and NPP and instead vote for PPP.

Despite what the Deputy Sports Minister said regarding the make up of supporters going to Brazil, it is irresponsible for anyone, let alone a politician to ask citizens not to pay their taxes. I wonder if he is aware that failure to pay lawful taxes when due is illegal. In other words, he is asking citizens to break the law, when Ghana is already a near lawless country.

If you are suggesting solution to Ghana's economic problems does is stopping tax payment an option? Jesus Christ, the fools who are going into politics are too much. There many of these idiots in both NDC and NPP too. The way I see things Ghana would suffer more under any other party when NDC is booted out. This is because the suggestions of the opposition parties are more foolish than the current governments. I think the reason people fight for power is to offer alternative ideas to help countries develop. In the west, voters vote for opposition parties because in time of crisis, they offered better ideas to save the nations. Over here in, Ghana opposition parties think hiding their ideas and allowing things to deteriorate will win them power. That is absolute foolishness. NPP has continuous refuse to offer feasible ideas that would help save the economy because they think that would be a threat to their quest for power, yet they say they want Ghana to be a better place to live. Absolute rubbish! By the time you gain power the dollar is all 6000 GH and how you come and blame NDC and Ghanaians to be patient for another for years.

We live in a scientific world, so it behooves people to substantiate statements or assertions they make with facts and figures. NPP may have set the precedent,so the Honorable Minister Yamin should have furnished Ghanians both home and abroad with proof(a mathematical language there was, in our days),to avert the ongoing criticism of his statement. I don't doubt the Honorable Minister's assertion, the only thing I lament about is his lack of proof or evidence. He shouldn't dwell on hearsay given his position.

I quote the minister, that, “in 2006, people about 250 I’m told, I don’t have any record to prove this. They only counted 7 people from the NDC out of 250 reported,” and as such, "majority of supporters going to Brazil to cheer on the Black Stars will be members of the NDC." It was(my piece) this unsubstantiated statement the deputy minister of sports made. It will be very irresponsible for me to think of advocating for, "no taxes to government" having lived in the US for the past two decades. I would like to advise that you read my piece a second time and respond to the point I made and be your own judge. That is, if it is proper for a minister of state to make assertion or a public statement that will excite public comment without any substantiation, hearsay for that matter. I don't belong to any of the political parties in Ghana, if I did, I think, I would be very apprehensive if a high ranking official of my party made a statement like the one the Honorable Deputy Minister of Sports made. Do you think his statement is a good reflection of what the Ghanaian society stands for? Again, be your own judge.

Mr Nkrumah is a youth leader in his party, PPP, and I'm so proud of him. The future looks bright for him as a politician. What Mr Nkrumah is calling for is what's generally referred to as positive defiance. I was congratulating him, saying to myself 'this is the best political statement I've heard all of this year. I expected the young man to gain some recognition and respect from accross the political divide. Instead they're villifying and calling him all kinds of names. This is how low the entire nation has sunk. Mr Yammin's statement was irresponsible and reprehensible and the President should have chastized him for bringing his administration into disrepute and public ridicule. The long and loud silence from the Presidency only indicates this is perhaps an unwritten NDC policy. Mr Yammin was only thinking aloud and in the process confirmed one of our worst fears. If the taxpayers money is not going to be used for the benefit of all taxpayers then why should we, the non-beneficiaries, continue to pay taxes? Mr Nkrumah, thank you.
