All along, I believed in this "BINBAG" man as a hardworking and intelligent MP when I first watched him on TV, while visiting Ghana, when Parliament was vetting some bone-headed nominated cabinet ministers. He was the majority leader then and that means parliament was vetting President Kufuor's nominees.
But, of late, Bagbin's utterances and behavior seem so bizarre that I can't understand where he’s coming from.

If the whole country is suffering from economic meltdown, then why should FARMERS, FISHMONGERS, STUDENTS, TEACHERS, TRO-TRO-DRIVERS, PROSTITUDES, etc. marshal up to come to the aid of MPs?? What kind of cigarette is this man smoking or what kind of northern PITO is his ass drinking?

You guys get paid well, free cars, free housing, free utilities and many other free things and you're crying that the poor Ghanaian should come to MPs aid? That's SHEER NONSENSE!! Who is not suffering in Ghana these days, because of that clueless NDC government? Even the mosquitoes are not having it any easier.

So, my suggestion to MP Alban Bagbin is that "Parliament should be DESOLVED, send the MPs home to join the masses and see how real life is all about. We don't need that many MPs most of whom are doggone KOKOTAKOs anyway. Or, is Ms. Bissiw’s voodoo now catching fire with Bagbin?

Things aren't working in Ghana due to too much PARTISANSHIP in government and that can be cured starting from the way debates are handled in Parliament. Call a spade a spade and listen more to the worries of opposition over critical issues of state that affect the entire country and not to ride roughshod over them because of your large numbers.
You in particular have started doing well, by doing what is done in advance democracies where members are bold enough to have their own minds as even to criticize their own governments.
By the way, of what importance is the position of "Whips" in a fledgling democracy as ours?

Is that a good reason why the Parliament appears hell-bent on IMPOSING GMOs on Ghanaians, even though no one voted for them to go and change our food?

Is that why they are even contemplating an "oral" report to the petitions against the Plant Breeders' Bill?

When the announcement was made last week in Parliament during the sitting on Thursday, 19th June, by the 1st Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ebow Burton-Oduro, Hon. Musaka Mubarak, NDC MP for Asawaso, and Majority Chief Whip, rose to his feet to declare that the Committee would present an "oral report". Is our Parliament trying to tell Ghanaians, they do not even need to properly let us know whether or not the petitions make sense to them or not?"

Is that the reason why as the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, who is supposed to give a report on the numerous petitions from all over Ghana, and even around the globe, on the Plant Breeders' Bill, he has decided to give an oral, rather than a written report to Parliament?

There is another word for this, other than "challenges". It is called "incompetence"!

When NDC was using lies and propaganda to win power at all cost did they ever realise that Mahama's reckless appointment of square pegs in round holes was going to bring the country to it's knees.It is not a bad idea that all hands should be on deck but the government must first admit and apologise to the whole country for the lies they keep telling us that all is well. In any case, there are too many members of parliament, 275 representing 25 million i.e. 90,909 persons per an MP. in the UK one MP per nearly 100,000 person. UK MPs do hold a monthly surgery in their constituencies where people will be able to meet with MPs to express their concern over issue; person , local and national.
What do Ghanaian MPs do if they are not in session? They have even been given allowance to inspect projects in their constituencies.

Honestly speaking to have 275 MPs in Ghana is too alarming. Ghanaians need to take drastic decision to amend this uncalled for huge number. It is just unrealistic and the constitutional amendment process should seriously look at this. Think of the cars, think of the offices, think of the houses, think of the salaries, etc - these MPs alone are heavy burdens on the national cake. Please Hon Bagbin, initiate the move for serious reduction in numbers. This shows that the recent addition of 45 MPs was really not necessary at all. The numbers were created without taking into account the economic consequences. Act now or Parliament will collapse. It is better to have Parliament with fewer numbers that are very active than 275 and cannot function. Action and action now or it will be too late.

Thank you Honourable for speaking the truth. But act to save the situation!!!

Those tractors have been paid with the money Bagbin ought to use to build office in his village, this office was suppose to employ ten people and pay them. If he hasnt, and use it for tractors it means the tractor belongs to the people he represents.

Bagbin himself knows the tractor and all things he stole will be collected if NPP comes to power. MPs are not suppose to make money from those who send him or her there.
