This Fortiz/Merchant bank deal deal from all indications is putrid, it stinks to the high heavens and nothing can justify such an atrocious deal, when Ghanaian taxpayers, from all indications are not getting any VALUE FOR MONEY in this stinking deal. Omane Boamah, MD should seek to explain why an equity firm which cannot even boast of the asset base to even acquire a non-financial banking license, should be made to take on this onerous task of not even a merger, but a full complete acquisition of Merchant bank, when Ghanaian taxpayers, have been offered far, far better VALUE FOR MONEY propositions from identifiable bodies with a portfolio of assets eclipsing over 100 billion dollars? It is indeed mindboggling the level of impunity and recklessness which has been unleashed on the affairs on governance by this NDC gov't. Ghana indeed deserves better than this recklessness which is permeating all facets of governance in this country. It's awfully pathetic.

Kuffour's win was a fluke in both instances and if anything could be argued to imply the folks wanted to see the other part of the coin. There's no future for NPP and they can continue to lie about the integrity of our voting systems. Privately talk to Kofi Konadu, Arther Kennedy and others, and you will hear the truth about 2012 elections. The election petition was just a dust thrown in our way. Are these men patriotic? I argue they are bunch foolish, useless the nation wreckers.

You and other youths in the Party brought this upon yourself. The time you began parading Akufo-Addo around as the only legitimate NPP candidate for the Presidency, you usurped the democratic principles that the Party was supposedly built to advance. Now, you have an albatross around your neck. Deal with it. Nana has already been made to think he could play a President in the shadows, receiving red-carpet welcome at the Airport on arrival from vacation abroad, and presented to foreign dignitaries as a bona fide President to be, even before Elections confer that upon him. It has gotten into his head and those of his supporters that anything less than a stamp of approval by all the NPP rank and file for Nana's Flagbearership amounts to a scandal. So, Nana's supporters are now facing the realities that others within the Party would rather have fair democratic competition, and those Akufo-Addo supporters would not budge. They have been using all kinds of trickery and manouvering to keep Nana's rivals off the arena, so Nana would be the only one left standing in it, unchallenged. There is your problem.

It’s up to you to make the most of the positive, and not let the negative derail you. At seventy, Paul said, “I am ready to come...to...Rome to preach” (Ro 1:15 TLB). At eighty, Moses led Israel out of slavery. At eighty-five, Caleb said, “Give me the mountain...the Lord promised me” (Jos 14:12 NCV). You’re only “old” when your regrets take the place of your dreams.
