I still find it extraordinary that when the stark raving Ken Agyapong launched his dangerous tribalistic attacks on Gas, Ewes and other non akan tribes the leadership of the NPP did not see it fit to reprimand him immediately.This failure on the part of the flaccid NPP hierarchy to act more than anything else helped to cement the unfortunate image of the NPP as a very tribalistic party. The clueless leadership were perceived by their silence to agree with the extreme views held by the MP for for Assin Central. Indeed Ken Agyapong cost the NPP dear during the last election. Critical votes were lost as bruised and battered non akan NPP voters stampeded out of the NPP fold after Ken Agaypong's "grenade attack" on them.

The tribalist NPP party went to court over silly and concocted allegation just to make Mahama's administration look less legitimate and weak. Though many members including Alan Kyeremateng knew Akuffo Addo was using the court to hijack the party for a 3rd run, they blindly followed him and hauled all kinds of insults on Dr. Afari Djan and the Asantehen was not spared either. I said it and still continues to say on this forum that Akuffo Addo is a reckless hooligan and untrustworthy. Today, the same Allan Kyeremanteng and his supporters are saying what was obvious that Akuffo Addo lost the elections fair and square. The Matemeho has been the curse of Ghana all these years!!!!!

There is nothing that reaches farther to determine how rational humans behave than what questions their right to live. When you attack a whole Tribe and threaten its members with total annihilation, you leave it with virtually nothing to hope for with you. Money or wealth to them would be a secondary matter.

Therefore, in your restrained withered peanut of a brain, I would like you to try harder than ever before to entertain a little humility to excite your positive hormones that could free your gumption to recognize the realities. Now, listen!

Rational People would rather endure whatever economic hardship a mismanaged Regime causes them than to risk putting their heads on the gillotine, or see themselves hacked to death with machettes under some genocidal leadership like your preferred cohorts'.

Many pragmatic, diligent analysts by consensus noted that those vicious comments by Ken and Nana repelled enough votes from non-Akans that could have given the NPP an edge to win the last Elections. Folks like you didn't have the humility to admit to that. Now, Mr. Gyamfi has revealed that view was upheld by his own inner-circle in the NPP.

Nothing much has changed in our Economy since Mills' era to present a stronger motive to those non-Akans Ken wants killed for them to risk taking the option to vote for Ken's Party, instead of surviving under austere Economic conditions.

You can sell your soul to the devil for Cedis. But rational humans would rather not. Learn something about the human Spirit and Mind. Have you ever really thought about why "everything is falling apart in Ghana" (your words)? Try digging deeper to the root cause. You might have a clue.

If Mr. Gyamfi and his clique knew the NPP's loss of the Elections was due to such utterances as Ken made, why in the World were they going to the Supreme Court for? Just so to taunt the winning Party and frustrate the new President and raise suspicion about his legitimacy in Office?

This admission tells a lot about the NPP that the Public probably should not have been privy to. This one outburst of Mr. Gyamfi's against Ken has revealed inadvertently alleged the following against the NPP:

1). That the NPP is engulfed in intra-Party tribalism.

2). That the NPP leadership recognized the viciousness of the utterances by Ken Agyapong against non-Akan Tribes but chose to deflect the concerns of all who cared to complain.

3). That the NPP might also have recognized the inappropriateness of similar utterances by Nana Akufo-Addo with his "Yen Akanfo de..." message but chose not to call Nana to order, and have him apologize to all.

4). That the NPP, possibly, might have seen Nana as beyond reproach and condoned his similar comments as Ken made but chose to blame Ken, instead, for the Party's loss of the 2012 Elections.

5). That the NPP knew exactly that what caused the Party the Elections was not the reasons Akufo-Addo and his team took to the Supreme Court to seek redress and possible overturn of the Election Results.

6). That the current conflict between the so-called Alan supporters and Akufo-Addo Supporters reaches farther into the existence of tribal animosities within the NPP.

7). That Ken Agyapong and others blame the Ashantis in NPP for the current wave of disputes in the Party.

Well, these are crucial facts the discerning Electorate would have to seriously consider for voting.

You should have unequivocably condemned that leadership blunder by Nana, first. Up to this very moment Nana has not found the humility to apologize to the non-Akan Electorate he offended, even though he is the one that is seeking the Presidency.

When many of us suggested at the very beginning that Nana made a mistake and had to render unqualified apology to the Nation, we got hammered by the likes of you. To your ilk, Nana does no wrong. Yet, you have the audacity to pin the loss of the Elections on Ken Agyapong. What a shame!

Both Nana and Ken should share the blame for the loss of votes that their utterances caused the NPP. Period!! Don't conveniently overlook Nana's share of that cost.

If anyone wants to be the President for the Nation's entire citizenry, that fellow must be fully committed to respecting all the ethnic groups in the Country, irrespective of what the barometric reading of support for that person is in any corner of the Country.

We cannot even always count on the support of all our own siblings in all issues, let alone that of all folks in the Country. So, our leaders should be mindful of the fact that whether or not the majority of a particular ethnic group support other Politicians is not a justifiable basis for discriminating against that group.

The potency of those horrible utterances by both Nana and Ken still remains undiffused. Therefore, it behoves the NPP leadership to address that now, or expect the Party to remain in opposition beyond 2016, despite the poor performance of the NDC.

We should all take note of the glaring admission by Ken in this reportage of a nasty undercurrent of ethnic biases in intra-NPP Politics. Ken, perhaps surprisingly, takes a swipe at Ashantis that they could keep the NPP, if they would not conform to his expectations. Until now, many Ghanaians thought Ken was totally immersed within Ashantis. It is quite interesting how he identifies the distinction between him and Ashantis, now.

However, it is disingenuous on his part to blame Ashantis for any on-going conflict within the NPP. For as far as I know from the reports circulating since the NPP Congress in Tamale, there have been factions supporting either Alan or Nana Akufo-Addo, with no definitive ethnic fault-lines. But here we are with Ken's specific blame on Ashantis in the NPP. Should we expect others to blame the Akyems in the Party, too, for their unconditional support for Nana?

This is the first time I have heard a top-ranking leader of the NPP admitting to the existence of ethnocentrism in the Party. What a gift to the NDC for their propaganda against the NPP!

Every statement made by any NPP officials indicates that they genuinely lost in the 2012 general election yet they wasted our precious time at the Supreme Court. If you know your actions and inactions including loose utterance by some of your leaders including Ken Agyapon, why did you run to the court blaming NDC and Afari Gyan of rigging the election. I voted for NPP but numerous accusations and counter-accusations against themselves have proved that they lost the election yet they went to court.
