  The only way to nib this menace effectively in the bud is for the competent authorities in the coastal countries to clamp down heavily on the perpetrators of the criminal act by imposing hefty fines in addition to confiscatin ...

  The only way to nib this menace effectively in the bud is for the competent authorities in the coastal countries to clamp down heavily on the perpetrators of the criminal act by imposing hefty fines in addition to confiscating whatever catches are found on board the fishing vessels caught in the act.
  
  Charity begins at home. Therefore, Ghana must take the decisive lead.
