Really, Mr Pratt ? Are you kidding me ? I am surprised you seem to see something wrong in the players demanding for their earnings. The money was not given them by the country so why should they die for the country whilst politicians enjoy what is not rightfully theirs ? I beg to differ. May be you may have to explain what you mean when you say people should die for their country and link it to how it applies to this situation. I guess Ghanaians should pay an extra 50% increase in tariffs because they believe they should die for their country.

Praising a few players when it takes an entire team effort to perform successfully is misguided, to say the least. The players are not at fault. They are competent professionals. The missing link here is an equally a competent management team to match the skill set of the players. like the government, the management team is incompetent. The players are the only professionals in this game and should be rewarded promptly for their work. Corruption is so endemic in Africa that many people are failing to realize that the players have the right to be paid promptly for services rendered. Incidentally, such idiocy is not confined to Ghana's management of soccer; players from Nigeria and Cemeroun are experiencing a similar problem of officials messing with their monies. This is now vicariously a FIFA problem - simple as that.

The team was sent to Brazil to chase the cup. Instead, what we heard from them in Brazil was that they were rather spending all their time chasing appearance fees. We should focus on finding what diverted their attention from the objective we set for them. We have to be surgical and not be destructive else we will create additional problems. The Players played high class football and showed that if they had maintained focus, they would gone far and made history.

"EFIE BIAA MENSA WOM". I DONT KNOW WHY GHANAIANS ARE UPSET ABOUT THE LOSS. AFTER ALL WE ARE RNAKED 37 ON THE FIFA RANKING, USA RANKED 13 AND PORTUGAL RANKED 4. ALL OF THEM ACCORDING TO FIFA ARE BETTER THAN GHANA. THE POINT WE NEED TO MAKE IS THAT HOW MANY OF OUR PLAYERS ARE PLAYING FOR TOP NOTCH TEAMS IN EUROPE. WE HAVE A KEEPER WHO DID NOT PLAY ALL YEAR AND CAUSED US A GOAL AGAINST PORTUGAL. ONLY IN GHANA WILL A BENCH WARMER BE INVITED TO THE NATIONAL TEAM. TERVEZ THE TOP SCORER IN ITALIAN LEAGUE WAS NOT EVEN CALLED BY ARGENTINA. SO WE ALL NEED TO TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND CALM DOWN. WE DO NOT HAVE TOP NOTCH PLAYERS AND WHAT HE HAVE DID THE BEST.

YOU SEE GHANA IS IN ECONOMIC CRISIS AT THIS TIME AND NTHING SEEM TO BE WRKING WELL IN THE COUNTRY. NOW THIS FOOTBALL FIASCO HAS ADDED FUEL TO THE ALREADY BLAZING INFERNO. MY FEAR IS SIMPLE. PREZ. MAHAMA'S DREAM WAS TO SEE THE STARS ADVANCE TO THE KNOCK-OUT STAGE OR EVEN FURTHER SO THAT GHANAIANS WOULD FORGET ABOUT THE DUMSOR MAHAMANOMICS CULTURE FOR SOME TIME TO GIVE HIM A BREATHER. THIS IS WHY I DO NOT THINK THE TEAM WILL BE DISSOLVED, BECAUSE IT WOULD COMPOUND MAHAMA'S WOES, AND HIS GOVT WILL CRUMBLE LIKE THE BERLIN WALL OF GERMANY. ACCOUNTABILITY, YES, INVESTIGATION, YES, DISCIPLINE, YES, BUT DISSOLUTION OF THE ENTIRE TEAM, I BEG TO DIFFER. IF TAT HAPPENS, DUMSOR WILL BE DOUBLE-DOUBLE, AND ALL UNPAID CONTRACTS AND SALARIES WILL BE WRITTEN OFF DOUBLE-DOUBLE BY MAHAMA. KWESI,DO YOU SEE THE ENTIRE SCENARIO?.
