Mr. Nyantakyi and the Head Coach Mr. Kwesi Appiah must all go. I am not sure in which class of the plane Mr. Kwesi Appia travelled. I however felt bad that the PresidentFA travelled in business class while the players travelled in economy class. As if this was not enough he travelled with his wife and his 2 kids. That is where the FORENSIC AUDITING SHOULD START KURAA BEFORE, we look at the issues that came afterwards. Lets also take all benefits that the entire GFA took from the above money and all others from them and pay it back into government coffers.

Even if the officials were deemed to be corrupt, the players did not exhibit any patriotism by deciding to revolt when there was s crucial match ahead.

In a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, our President was forced to send a plane load of money without passengers to these revolting players. Adjei, after collecting those huge sums of money did the revolting players win the match for us? What was your genuine feelings after the match?

Mind you, these unpatriotic players took barely two weeks in the tournament to make such huge sums of money. Many hard working Ghanaians may not be able to make such a huge money in their entire working life.

I am not holding any brief for any corrupt official, what is of concern to me is that most of you are only interested in the perceived corrupt officials leaving the players off the hook. Remember, if we speak of sunshine let us also speak of rainfall for they all contribute to the weather condition. The mess was never caused by only the perceived corrupt officials. The unpatriotic players also did not help matters period!!

Mr. Nyantakyi, you and your GFA must be blamed squarely for the Black Stars' failure in Brazil. And the Black Stars' failure is directly linked to your administration's poor planning and management, lack of vision and foresight.

Even while coach Kwasi Appiah and his technical team arrived in Brazil, they didn't seem certain about any good strategy to win their very first match against the United States; they were still experimenting. No wise and competent coach would deploy a new player like Daniel Opare as a defender who hadn't been well tested prior to playing such an important match. No wonder he didn't and couldn't defend when his services were needed most--he strangely made way for Dempsey to score within the very first seconds of the match!

Similarly, no competent coach would bench three of his most experienced and best players like Michael Essien and Kevin Prince Boateng and bring them in only for the last 20 minutes of the match. Every wise and efficient coach would introduce his best players from the word go to ensure that they win such a crucial match first before deciding to rest them.

The worst and foolish decision the coach and his Technical Team made was the expulsion of Sulley Muntari and Prince Boateng in the morning of that Thursday that Ghana played against Portugal.

I'm not against disciplining any player who misbehaves. What I'm concerned about is the timing of the execution of the decision. Why couldn't Mr. Appiah and his Technical Team exercise restraint and wait until after the match, or even after the tournament, before disciplining the players. The timing of the implementation of the decision was simply unwise. It was a reckless exercise of power.

Once the coach and his Technical Team expelled those two senior players, they had immediately effectively spelt the Black Stars' doom. Appiah and his Technical Team members must have known better, that that ill-fated action they took that Thursday morning immediately must have demoralised the junior players, who must have been looking up to them for direction and confidence. Having been former Black Stars players themselves, did Appiah and his Technical Team members not know this simple psychology about players? How did they expect them to concentrate well enough to play the match to win? If they players were expected to play as a team, how could they maintain and uphold that ohjective if two of their most senior and experienced members were expelled just before the match? Is it any wonder that they couldn't defeat Portugal, although all ESPN and beIn Sports commentators and analysts had predicted a win by Ghana v. Portugal.

Let me say once again that Appiah's decision to expel those two senior players that Thursday morning prior to the Ghana-Portugal match that afternoon was a very unwise one.

Just imagine how the Black Stars had performed so wonderfully well against their German counterparts a few days earlier. And they could even have defeated the Germans had some of the players like Jordan Ayew hadn't been so selfish by failing to pass the ball to two of his colleagues who'd expected him to do so for them to score, and had not the referee not been unfair to Ghana when, for example, he failed to award a penalty to Ghana when Asamoah Gyan's jersey was held and he was pulled down by a Germany defender. Here again, the coach didn't act like a coach. Other coaches are often seen protesting loudly to the referees when they realise their teams aren't been treated fairy. But Kwasi Appiah kept silent with his suit on in that hot weather and didn't react one way or another.

It's against this backdrop that your announcement that 'the management team reposes confidence in Coach Kwasi Appiah to continue his job and build a stronger Black Stars team' and that 'he will be expected to apply the strict criteria of competence in selecting or maintaining players for the team' is quite appalling.

It's amazing that you don't seem to realise that coach Appiah's player selection and his reckless exercise of power were responsible for the Black Stars' abysmal performance in Brazil. Weren't you the President of GFA when you dismissed the last Serbian coach because of his failure to win the Africa Nations Cup? Why don't you apply the same yardstick in judging Appiah's performance? Is Appiah's performance not worse than the two Serbians', one of whom took the Stars to the quarter-final stage of the World Cup while the other led them to the fourth position in the last AFCON?

Mr. Nyantakyi, please be objective and fair. If I were you, I'd myself resign first and not only apologise to Ghanaians, especially in view of the serious match-fixing allegation made against you and your other colleagues. That's what Europeans and Americans honourably do. What a shame!
