Princess, the word ‘nigger’ as well as other previously known rude and unsavoury words/expressions such as ‘shit’, ‘fuck’ etc, have all now largely been neutralized and defused of their original nasty connotations, particularly by the youth of the world today.

This is evident, especially and paradoxically by Black youth worldwide who do so, principally and with surreptitious intent to mock the intent of the original hypocritical creators of the word. The creators, specifically the racist white people of Europe and America, who while they continue to privately and gleefully use the word ‘nigger’ to demean and belittle the humanity and dignity of Black people, they still publicly pretend that it is unethical and not nice.

As unfortunate as the devaluation of such racist epithets may seem today, they actually portend a seeming drift from the ‘beautiful decent’ old order to a dubious vulgar new one. Much as you and I may still consider these as creeping signs of moral, ethical and social degeneration, there is very little we can do about it other than to tolerate - at best, these regrettable trends. To stick your neck out in defiance of this patently indecent vogue is to call for and invite what you may not have bargained for upon your head. You will be tagged with the label ‘Old School’ and thereupon, your opinions will promptly cease to be valid, tenable or worth any consideration.

Today, globally recognizable and visible institutions, films, popular songs, companies, musical groups, films, books and political personalities all use the word nigger at will in their communication patents or brands. This is in spite of the fact that a white person can be officially charged on multiple counts of racist abuse for using the word ‘nigger’ against a Black man and hauled before court.

However niggers are free to use that word for or against themselves without much aggravation. In fact in the Black underworld of the US, it is deemed fashionable and trendy to be described as a cool nigger. As stated above, the public use of the word nigger against another nigger by a nigger is now generally seen as an act of total disregard, defiance or even a taunt against red-necks (white racists) and to racism. The implication is to send the insubordinate and hardened attitude to white racists that even their worse insults or gibes cannot touch Black people.

The ramblings of Bature clearly shows that, the Gov't is beginning to fear it's own shadows, as a result of non-delivery and non-performance in the face of an awakening of the senses of the citizenry, to the issues that have served to bury the country in the doldrums.
There's nothing like an informed populace demanding accountability in a democracy and clearly, a non-performing gov't would be held hostage and claw at imaginary shadows, "springs", etc, etc when the citizenry hold their feet to the fire.
Governance is very, very serious business and the tenure of office demands that, Gov't starts delivering from day one, and rather, shun the looting from day one.
The masses are very much awake and the propaganda just would not cut it. They are demanding accountability. They are demanding performance. They are demanding positive delivery. They are demanding an improvement in their lives and not retrogression, and any Gov't that fails the governance test, would most definitely face the wrath of the masses, who have entrusted their mandate in this instance to the NDC gov't to address their issues, and not their personal aggrandizement. It happened to the NPP gov't before them and it happened to the NDC gov't prior to the NPP gov't.
The ball is in the court of the NDC gov't to deliver or move out. The people are realizing their true power to effect change, and any political grouping that thinks it can take the masses for granted, would most definitely suffer consequences for their non-performance.
Bature has rather disingenuously, planted an idea in the minds of the citizenry in seeking to engage in propaganda, although the socio-economic contract with the masses is for a 4year period, and the recklessness of such propaganda is most unfortunate.

It is a shame some Ghanaians who pride themselves as the paragon of all wisdom are not wise enough to know that an Arab Spring cannot happen in Ghana. The important condition that promotes an Arab Spring revolt is the denial of civil and political rights to citizens by governments. In Ghana, civil and political rights are in abundance to the extent that even on a national day as republic day, a group of people can demonstrate against the government. Whatever difficulties and challenges there are in a country are the reason there is need for governments and not the reason to oust them. If a popularly elected government cannot solve a problem, which government can solve it?
Interestingly, President Mahama has just gone through successfully a free and fair election and an 8-month long petition (by the demonstrators) at the Supreme Court challenging his electoral victory. Nobody thus deserves the mandate to rule Ghana more than him. It is very clear those who set the target to occupy the flagstaff house in their demonstration, were pursuing an evil agenda to oust the Mahama regime. How naive they are!!! They must be pitied for not knowing that such a thing cannot happen in a free democratic country as Ghana.
