My suggestion is that like the president cancelled hampers and gifts during Christmas, His Excellency President Mahama should give a similar directive that no government official, flies business class without approval from the castle and this will save the country a lot. Some travel for expensive one week courses and use business class. When economy is costing $800 business class on the same flight could sometimes cost $6,000 six thousand dollars? Why such waste?

He should give some orders eg. no public official should travel first class ( there ill be no constitutional breach), no allowances for investigative committees ( those you appoint must be patriotic and see such appointments as an honour), heads of institutions must be paid quarterly after submitting performance reports (they can borrow from the banks to survive until they get paid). It is the perks of office that attracts politicians to enter government NOT to offer anything to the citizenry. If we make public office less attractive, it is the patriotic who will offer themselves not these greedy bastards.

The telegraph should do his own checks with Emirates and British Airways to confirm the air fares and stop maligning the executives who went to work for the country.If Ghana Gas is not completing the gas project.. that is a different story.To travel just ACC DUBAI ACCRA is $5,900.00 , so i just dont get this .. China is $6000.00 , mulitply by 3 cedis and get the total yourselves.
