Law enforcement does not need the permission of the president to do their work. whenever such corrupt practices are uncovered, law enforcement should go straight to the perpetrators without fear or favour. For the president to be told that some of his appointees are corrupt, reveals to me and of course, to those who understand the separate functions of government, that we really don't know the operation of a democracy. Everything that happens in Ghana is the president's fault. We are in the process of creating a monster president-- a dictator. If the president is indeed serious, he should go after those he has placed in the judiciary branch who are incapable of bringing corrupt officials to book. This is possible only when the judiciary is free and independent. Mr President you are competent--go after the incompetant ones in the other branches of government who are not doing their job. After all, nobody and I mean nobody is above the law.

That statement, if it was genuine, was a great disgrace to everybody who calls himself a Ghanaian. Because, it was supposed to have been approved by our own parliament! But it was riddled with ridiculous figures that even a JSS student would refuse to approve let alone a whole parliamentary committee.
Let us see real action not just the rhetorics which get us nowhere.

However, Ghana needs her stolen funds recovered in full and with interest. So, I'd say more grease to his elbow. But I hope that would not be an one-day wonder, or an empty, elusive wish.

For any next high-level, institutional or Ministerial appointments, the Prez. must toss the Partisan apparell to consult with the Opposition and other knowledgeable Institutions with reputable track records to help him choose the best persons for the positions. This is because, the NDC alone may constrain the field for best options for those positions, and Ghana deserves the best Citizens for each Office. We must see immediate improvement in all phases of governance, especially, the Economy.

Folks, President Mahama is crying out loud and talking tough this time because the daily corruption, gross incompetence, kleptomania, mismanagement and negligence that happen copiously under his watch and which have spilled over into the international arena have brought his leadership under international surveillance and censuring.These are the reasons behind his recent outbursts . He's certainly not been an absentee president but has instead presided over the worst administration in the history of the nation. The president's rantings, effusions and hollow threats are symptons of one suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We live to see whether his growling and barking will culminate into vicious bites that will bring some sanity and order to his embattled kingdom.
