What exactly do you mean by that? It appears you don't understand "life" one bit. Let me tell you what? TODAY, about 50% of the world worship one man. This man was born in a manger - a sleeping place for sheep. He was raised by a man who wasn't even his natural father and the man was a poor carpenter. In his glory days, he rode a donkey for transportation. The man was whipped until blood oozed from his skin. He was made to wear a crown made of thorns and carry a heavy cross on a hot sunny days for hours without water.

Does any of you know this man? They say he is the son of God. Some even say that he is God himself. What do you say Mr Titus Glover is?

Titus is telling us what life really is, just as Jesus with his life as an example, has been telling us to be humble.

At the beginning in Ghana, we didn't even have our own toilet, so I had to go to one of those large halls for 5 pesewas and squat on the floor with an injured knee at that time.

I've lifted so heavy during agricultural work that I got an hernia.

I have herded animals and cleaned out thier stables full of excrements (manure...).

Many Ghanaians just keep ignorantly complaining, while plenty of them have quite an easy and simple life, without very much stress.

Many of the envied foreigners have a lot more to manage in their lives than many Ghanaians.

Many Ghanaians would be surprised at the amount of paper-work, planning, maintenance, working-hours many foreigners have to keep up for sustenance. I don't want to generalize, but I know many Ghanaians would fail at achieving the same, even if they were given all the necessary investments and commodities as free gifts. Many Ghanaians would just sit and chop the money, and sue the things without care and repair until they were run-down and ready for the garbage.

BTW, finally, in England public toilets are not solely "white man's toilets" - they are also used by plenty of "coloured men".

They had it easily and free from the 'ahifie' scholarships and sponsorships from their royal coffers in those days when they were students home and abroad, so their attitude, about life in a display of arrogance and total misconception about life. And it is for these reasons those social deviants have the self-imposed and false belief that they should/have the audacity to lord the people. You could see from their actions and character that they have no clue about real life.

Would that Ghanaians would also learn to judge by the content of someone's character rather than by their social status, connections, external wealth, or media spin.

Some of you guys are so into yourselves, you always attempt to compare such an uncivilized and backward society to the USA and European culture of civility, courteousness and respect for the law.
When I read about private motorists being asked to ride that abominable public transportation, first thing that occurred to me was, why not just shut off Accra to all these bush and primitive residents. Behold, they listened to me.

Never trust a Ghanaian dressed like an European, speaking like an European, or thinking like an European. They will astonish you with abject ignorance.

The trouble with us is that we believe that culture implies, sticking to our bush primitive ancestral ways, or speaking that rubbish language.

Thank whomever came up with this idea. Left to me alone, I will shut off Accra for months. No Makola, No Trotros, No taxi an no street hawkers...Perfect World, Perfect Life!

There are some specific fields that we lack the needed expertise. To solve this problem the government of Ghana has over the decades made scholarships available for Ghanaians to study abroad in these fields. In some instances several people have been sent and not even one of them has returned. If you know very well that you are not prepared to live and work in this country and would therefore not return do not take these scholarships.

The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.

Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.

Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.

Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

I am surprised nowadays young men and women prefer to have the latest mobile phones and sit down doing nothing whilst expecting that Uncle or Auntie abroad to send him/her money. They don't do anything to help themselves. Always expecting the government or that relative living abroad to help them.

No doubt I have stopped sending money to any relative in Ghana.

There are many of us such people who could call ourselves Middle Class in the system. My experiences in my home village here in Ghana and in Germany are wow. Even today, I can't believe the Grace which has brought me this far despite my determination and hard work. He is even lucky to have lived and grown in Tema. With MSc. and MBA,I could have been a minister if I had gone into politics because I come from NDC's world bank. I had been a bank manager for 5 years and I am now occupying a very respectable position in my company. Just as he has said, these young guys who think they have made it in life because of fame should be very careful. What I tell people like that is, many people admire you when from nowhere you've been able to make it. Instead of bragging in and around town, be humbled by the respect and admiration that people have for you because they see you as their role models. Castro's death should be a lesson to all of them. Forcing to speak slang and moving with ladies around do not mean they've arrived.

In fact, attorneyship ("lawyer") by a person disrespectfully looking down at those who wipe their excrements and dispose their garbage etc., i.e discriminating those who could be your clients based on their supposed "class", seems more indecent to me by far.

For,what is “ Chilling or Surprising" about the Hon MP's experience,both at home and abroad ! It is only in Ghana that the only decent job is to Sit in the Office. Ghanaians are not aware that Decency is not founded in the type or kind of job you do But,how you honestly acquired or earned the Money to make a living.(maybe that is the reason why corruption is not punished ).
Again,it's only in Ghana that one could ask , "you work at the place(establishment) as what ?." I have no idea about the other African Countries but I will not be surprised if the attitude is the same on the Continent.
That kind of attitude is a Contributing factor that is the reason why we have always been on a bridge to nowhere ! We need all Types of jobs,trade and professions to move the Country forward. That is the only way forward And non of these is more important than the other !

They'd nearly all want to become "stars" in sports and entertainment, or sit in air-conditioned offices wearing fine suits and dresses (or at least become big-time drug-pushers), while turning up their snobby noses at those providing them with the necessities of life, such as "lower-class", "peasant", farmers, laundry-washers, maidens, mechanics, "toilet-cleaners" ASO.

All enticed by commercial ads and music-videos with "Young Boys" showing off grand houses, cars, gold jewelry and half-naked "Young Girls" dancing for them like just another financial asset.

So, Young Boy, the article may have hit on a raw nerve with you.

So with him cleaning toilets to survive is not a big deal. At least, he had a paycheck coming every 2 weeks. How about Ghanaians at home not having jobs at all, let alone looking forward to a paycheck every couple of weeks?

Remember in the 1980'S when Ghanaians were flooding to AGEGE? Some were engineers, teachers, technicians, doctors and a lot survived by working as 'latrine carriers'. Now that's what I respect. Those 'latrine carriers' were the real heroes . They earned their living honestly and that job was brutal.

For this guy cleaning toilets in a western country is like being on holidays as compared to those who did the same in AGEGE because over here in overseas, one could sleep on the floors in these washrooms. Unlike public washrooms in Africa which are always messy, the ones here are perfect.

I'm not trying to downplay what he did here to survive, but he shouldn't also make it look like he is the only one who did that. His AGEGE counterparts had it worse yet they don't go to the news media to spout off for sympathy. Those guys were the real heroes.
Some of our women even 'sold' themselves and their virtues in order to survive.

So in my opinion. he should instead shut the fuck up and promote the idea of a good education now that he's in a position to do so.

I had one of the best education in Ghana when Ghanaian education was the best in Africa and , therefore, the envy of most African countries.

I can't speak for other people but I'm a living testament to prove that good education is the best foundation for anything in this world.

I'm reaping the benefits of that education in North America after I worked in Ghana for years after the university to pay my dues in appreciation for my country giving me that education.

Now look at our educational system.....it's so broken down that it's become a joke and this guy promoting himself is now part of the political clowns ruling the country and making a mess of everything.

So if in his mind, he thinks cleaning toilets is demeaning, then he should help to make our educational system first class like it used to be so that when future Ghanaian graduates come overseas, they don't become toilet cleaners.
